Not quite the instant stuff. I did prepare every ingredient individually to ensure an array of different textures and flavors. That being said, in my view, ten minute prep time for this turnout, is a quick dinner.

Fresh ramen noodles in miso. Also, I had some shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots and spinach handy.

Felt compelled to add the corn to achieve the Hokkaido style. Skipped the pork though; and for that, my apologies to those in Hokkaido for skipping a crucial ingredient.

The locals could tell immediately that I'm not from around these parts because I stopped to take a photo of these. The pickled sausages say "No Pork" but have a cartoon of a pig on the jar. Of course, the eggs have a pig on them, too. Go figure.

We got this meal on the way to Frankfurt (from Caracas) also, but it tasted much much saltier then. We think we acclimatised somewhat. The Muslim meal on this leg says "No Pork" on the foil cover.
