Talked David into taking the 2nd Gen, DIY Electric Riding Mower out for a spin. It sounds noiser on video than it really is. Pretty much all the noise is of the blades turning, grass cutting, and the belts wizzing, with a little transmission noise thrown in there for good measure. By the way, he was running the mower in the 3rd speed position, it really moves in 6th.
When looking for a DONOR lawn tractor for a conversion, Look for one with as large of a front compartment you can find, in order to have room for batteries. I like having the battery pack under the hood in this particular conversion.
Good test run, nothing blew up!
