Here you see the typical Volendam fishermen's cottages who have a nice view over the lake.
Noordeinde in Volendam was actually the dike along the IJsselmeer, since 1957 there is a dam in the IJsselmeer.
The Gouwzee is the part of Markermeer lake between the peninsula of Marken and Waterland area in the center of the Netherlands.

Misschien nieuwe riolen of leidingen?

Royal Archives
The Royal Archives comprise the Oranges’ personal archives as well as their library, photographic archives and art collection. The archives fall under the management of the Royal Household.
The neo-classical building which houses the Royal Archives was built between 1896 and 1899. The archives are located in the gardens of Noordeinde Palace, between the Royal Stables and the Palace. The building was renovated in 1997, and a year later a new underground depot was put in.
The Royal Archives date back to the regency of Queen Emma. The construction of the repository at Noordeinde made it possible to manage the archives, the library and the historical collections from a central location. The various collections continue to grow steadily, thanks to donations and purchases. After 1945 the director of the Royal Archives was also put in charge of the historical collections in the palaces.
Noordeinde Palace served as a royal residence from 1817 to 1940. King William I used it as his winter palace, and extensive renovations were carried out between 1814 and 1817 under the direction of architects Adriaan Noordendorp, Zeger Reyers, Bartholomeus Ziesenis, and Jan de Greef. These renovations included the addition of Gothic elements, which were removed in 1961.
During the reign of King William II, the palace housed his court, while he resided at the neighboring Kneuterdijk Palace. His son, King William III, used Noordeinde as his winter palace and made significant changes to its interior. The palace also witnessed the birth of Queen Wilhelmina in 1880 and her daughter, Princess Juliana, in 1909.
After World War II, Queen Wilhelmina chose not to return to Noordeinde Palace, preferring to reside at her summer palace, Het Loo, in Apeldoorn. The palace subsequently underwent extensive restoration to serve as a working palace for her successor, Queen Beatrix, who officially began using it in 1984.
Today, Noordeinde Palace is primarily used as the working palace of King Willem-Alexander. Every year on Prinsjesdag, the third Tuesday in September, the royal procession departs from Noordeinde Palace for the Ridderzaal (Knights' Hall) for the official opening of Parliament. The royal family makes a brief appearance on the palace balcony to greet the public after the procession.

Noordeinde Palace (Dutch: Paleis Noordeinde) is one of the three official palaces of the Dutch royal family. Located in The Hague in the province of South Holland, it has been used as the "working palace" for King Willem-Alexander since 2013.
The palace originated as a medieval farmhouse, which was converted into a spacious residence by the steward of the States of Holland, Willem van de Goudt in 1533. The original farmhouse's cellars can still be seen in the palace basement.
In the foreground you can see the equestrian statue of William of Orange in The Hague from 1845 and is a 19th-century memorial in memory of William of Orange.
It is the oldest statue in the public space of the royal town and enjoys protection as a national monument.

When we went to Giethoorn we were told that it would be very busy with tourists.
But after a bike ride from Wetering to Giethoorn it was nice and quiet there.
We soon walked along canals, bridges and beautiful houses and cute farms.
So it appears that in the north of Giethoorn, Noordeinde, not so many tourists come, because when we arrived a long way further to Middenbuurt we only saw the first boat with tourists.
And only a little further in the south of Giethoorn, Zuideinde, was it very busy with tourists.

Noordeinde, The Hague, The Netherlands.
P.G.C. Hajenius (1806-1889), founder of the Hajenius cigar brand, founded his company in 1826 in the De Rijnstroom hotel on Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam.[1] Two buildings bearing this name were constructed in Amsterdam for the company: on the corner of Dam and Beurssteeg (1868-1869, demolished in 1914), designed by H.J. van den Brink, and on Rokin (1914), designed by the brothers J.G. van Gendt and A.D.N. van Gendt.
The latter designed the office building with a shop on Noordeinde in The Hague in 1921, in an expressionist variation of the Um 1800 style. This building was also named De Rijnstroom. From 1987 to 1997, the building housed the Postbus 51 store. The building has a rectangular plan. On the ground floor is a store with a facade adorned with bronze ornaments. Originally, the name "P.G.C. Hajenius" ran across the entire width of the store. Above the store are two floors of offices, under a slate-covered mansard roof. The facade, clad in ochre-yellow natural stone, is pierced by five window axes and decorated with carved geometric patterns. The right-hand projecting bay window houses the entrance to the upper floors and bay windows. Above the door, the name De Rijnstroom is engraved in relief.
