Beautiful deep navy dress from Pilgrim. One of (the many many MANY) dresses and other outfits I've bought over the years with no memory of when or where I got them. It's like finding a lovely magical gift surprise in your wardrobe (or closet).
Géza Gárdonyi was a Hungarian writer and journalist (1863-1922). Although he wrote a range of works, he had his greatest success as a historical novelist, particularly with Eclipse of the Crescent Moon (in Hungarian: Stars of Eger). This novel recounts the improbable victory of the Hungarian defenders of the fortress of Eger in 1552 during the siege by the Turkish army. Gárdonyi moved to Eger in 1897. I have another photo with him in my profile taken in 2019. Can you find it?

Vintage longline bra.Grew up with my mum and grandma wearing these,and now here today it's me wearing one,isn't it funny how life turns out
...in very late news (more than 10 days old, I'm sorry) proposed anti-trans legislation by our clusterfuck of a federal government was defeated over a week back, when some of its own members turned against it.
Because we have a Prime Minister who specialises in performative god-bothering, he decided it would be a good wedge to be "inclusive" towards gay kids, but hang trans kids out to dry, as a sop to extreme religious organisations (and help to make a big deal of bathroom moral panicking).
The really lovely thing was that a number of leading Catholic schools (single sex and co-ed) came out to say there was no big deal, and they were happily managing MtF and FtM trans kids (even bathrooms, shock horror). And a Jewish school that said "meh, we've had gender-neutral bathrooms for years".
So, the government was humiliated (for now, anyway, though I'm sure they will not forget), and trans kids/people around the country felt a little more supported and accepted by a surprisingly wide cross-section of the population. Which is always a nice thing.
I love pleated skirts they just scream femininity to me,wearing my new pink silk vest top I just feel so girly
This is the second of my just #havetohave Adora dresses from @freshsoulclothing.
And so popular, they are nearly sold out, so I had to make do with a size 14 (up to 2 sizes larger than I usually go for).
But it did mean I had, err, some extra space to fill. Which I did thanks to some augmentation from @houseofpriscilla.

I have sworn in the past that yet another LBD is the last thing I need.
Yet, here I am once again, showing off my latest purchase. From the fabulous range on offer every week from @uturnvintage. It's always such a lottery as to what I will come away with. Often dresses or skirts I would never think of getting. And yet, I find myself loving them.
This one actually is an @karen_millen dress, probably at a fraction of what the original price would have been.
