Well, this is me without makeup. I had just got done swimming, so no need to really apply the face if it's just going to wash off anyway. This is also SOOC. I figured I would do the true sans makeup (and slightly sunburned) photo for you today. And for me too I suppose.
Today was just rad. There was swimming and burgers. I also got to meet more of my love's family. We had a great time. I had to sneak away to snap these photos before we ate. Hope everyone else is having as great of a weekend.

I've had this idea for quite a while--embracing the natural beauty of people. I think oftentimes we focus too much on the negatives and don't see how beautifully God designed us.
i basically just took this at school to email to my daddy...i had just gotten them off....but i don't have any make up on...ewwwww

my new Nikon Coolpix 5400 is my first professional-grade camera, but before it i had another much less fancy one which friends at the time also chipped in to buy me some years ago...having a camera has helped in a lot of ways, some quite unexpectedly...one way is self-image, or at least comfort level with 'self'.
anyone who knows me well knows that among very few other things, body-image is one of the areas that holds the greatest threat to my happiness on too many levels...with the camera[s] i've been able to spend time alone with myself, seeing myself or at least trying to get some sense of myself, my -body-, that isn't thoroughly repulsive to me...truth be told i have a hard time holding my gaze on most parts of my body; it's body dysmorphic disorder i know i know, but at the same time i don't know...i see myself dammit, and i know what i see...wouldn't i notice? wouldn't i know on some level that i was fooling myself? how could i not know? i know what i see dammit. gah, ok enough of that brief insight in to my b0rked sense of self...
this one taken on my new Coolpix...no make-up, had just woken up trailing fading memories of some very upsetting dreamtimes.

BEHOLD, my face without make up.
I just have no desire to put my make-up on today. Besides there really is no point. I have the day off so I am enjoying it on my couch with my dogs under a blanket.
Happy Sunday to me.
This what happens when you work from home and the alarm doesn't go off...you start work in your jammies and before you know it... it's 10:30am, you have no make up, haven't brushed your hair or teeth (ikk), and there are conference calls until noon!
