It's been about 3 years since I got new glasses. Wait, yes. 3 years. And in those three years the left lens of my glasses fogged up. Now you might think to yourself, "Silly Paige, just wipe your lens and all will be fine". But no. I can clean them all I like and they still are foggy. It's something with the glass. And the fine establishment the I bought them from told me "tough luck" on getting them fixed.
So I broke down and ordered a new pair when I went to a different eye doctor last week.
And you can't see it here, but they have little rhinestones in the corners. :) Sometimes I like being a girl.
Not only physically, but also on the inside. This entire year of being seventeen years of age has been the worst. Things have just begun to look up for me & when I turn eighteen on October 13th, I am determined to not dwell on the past anymore. I'm going to keep looking forward.

Today was a nomakeup, nofusshair, boyfriend's t-shirt kinda day :) The weather was SO nice, in the seventies again after the cold snow lol.

Another request fulfilled! A friend asked me to just take a simple picture of myself, in my clothes that I was already wearing, no makeup, smiling, just being me... so here I am! Nothing fancy.. wearing my new favorite shirt, and normal jeans, no make up, with my dog buddy :)
Buddy is 14, turning 15 this summer.. not sure how many more years he has in him.. sniff.. we got him from the Winnipeg Humane Society the year that we got married. He was our wedding gift to each other..lol..at that time he was already 8. He has been such a great dog to have around, wonderful with the kids, and a real protector. He will be truly missed when he is gone.

I went to bed last night with a scratchy throat. I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat. And then I was greeted by a snot-monster upon opening Drake's bedroom door.
The day didn't get any better.
For Macro Monday's theme "What's that smell?"
Shaving cream has always been one of my favorite smells. I never knew why, I just thought it was because I like the smell of clean skin and soap. But in my mid 20's while I was teaching preschool, I had my director suggest that I play with shaving cream with the kids. It is a fantastic table cleaner and wonderful for sensory play. While I was sitting with 8 two year olds covered from neck to waist in fresh, clean smelling shaving cream, I realized that it was the smell from my childhood. I would sit on the bathroom rug and talk to my father while he shaved before work. I would watch him methodicaly strip the white foam from his cheeks, neck and chin and be enveloped in that wonderful smell. I hadn't realized how much I loved it until after he died. But ever since then it has been one of my all time favorite smells.
Besides that, I love a freshly shaven man cheek to kiss!!! (unfortunately for me, Theo hates to shave and uses an electric razor every couple of days... )
