The worst fishing day is better than the best working day !

Small but great marking .......

nokill

Goodbye !

A few seconds of fear and then free again in the creek.

I believe to have seen and photographed it again, in the same place 8 days later while it was eating flies on water stream. Now the fishing season is closed; I hope its size will allow it to escape the attention of a giant heron in the area or some stupid poacher !

Small creek and gorgeous brown trout.

Captured and released, because the Earth must be respected every day even so.

Paradiso nascosto

I like fishing...

Remember No -kill ..The pike is a native Scottish species ,You can fish for them in many waters ,some grow to 15 kg..Most people would catch them and release them with no harm ,A minority of Eastern country people have decided to eat them all and kill them all.I am Ragging.....Don't kill my pike ..

Nobody knows what Snoopy is. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Maybe Mama was dashing dachshund and daddy was a traveling beagle boy. But whatever she is, she sure is cute. A senior girl, already spayed, at lease nine or 10 years old, solid black with a gray face. She's just a little dog, and she'd love to snooze on your couch. She's a very overweight hotdog looking dog. Short little legs, big fat belly, and big beautiful black eyes. She's an owner turn in, because they want a new puppy this spring. She's housebroken, good with other dogs, and with kids, and a very well-behaved lady.

We don’t yet have Snoopy’s photo, but here Prince and Lincoln show their love and appreciation for having been rescued.

Call Beth at the Orange County Animal Shelter 540-672-1124 to make arrangements to visit Snoopy today.

I love mondays......Catch and released .No kill ...

No kill of course !fishing is not always about killing ,,,,,,just a dream,,,,,,

It will take some more patience before returning to fish in the waters of the creeks, but meanwhile yesterday evening to deceive the wait was time for a quick but careful inventory.

At the end there was time for a still life, dedicated to everything I use on my fishing days

Being able to make them intrigue from the deep of the stream and see them follow and grab the fly on the surface, is the sense of fly fishing.

If this happens in a frame of light as only the sunrises or sunsets can give, the size of trout or chub, are just a detail, within a few seconds they will still be free to dart in these wonderful waters.

It is important to interact with nature respecting it

Second Chance Shelter Volunteers.

Fostering sick dogs to get ready to find amazing homes. In this case... Wisconsin. It is a privilege and an honor to have this 90lb girl for a few months. She seems content.

They're like human kids with a cardboard box. What you can find yourself and use sure imagination to turn into your castle is a lot more fun than what Mom and Dad can buy for you. Learn all about us www.RikkisRefuge.org and our funny stories www.RikkisRefuge.BlogSpot.com

This sweet little boy is available for adoption from the CTSPCA, the shelter where I got Q and where I volunteer on most weekends. This is a wonderful, private, non-profit, no-kill shelter that provides a home for all of the adoptees until a forever home comes along. Woof. :)

Have a great evening! Get ready. Monday's coming. ;)

kayak caught ,nice and easy!

September trouts

It's my favorite month for fishing, the weather is perfect, the air returns fresh and you can safely go up the creek even for all the day.

If you then catch and release these beautiful creatures with red and black dots, the day will be really perfect !

Dogs deserve better.... Cats also... I just ain't a cat guy. But we need to be humane to all, even those pesky humans…

As the birds grow ... the plot only thickens ... we now fear they may be Ferckens. To quote from the only source we can find, “The Fercken is believed to be an unusual cross between the feral cat and the owl. Scientists believed this to be impossible, until recently, when an entire breeding flock was discovered in the Piedmont section of Virginia. Untamed, these creatures can be exceedingly dangerous. They combine the ferociousness of a feral cat, with the stealthy hunting abilities of an owl. They have never been observed in captivity. And due to their dangerous built in weaponry, vicious feral attitude, and ability to not only claw and bite, but their penchant for flying into one’s face and plucking out the eyeballs of their victim, no scientist has yet been willing to manage a flock in captivity. Unsubstantiated rumors abound of a reclusive mountain man found living in a cave in the Shenandoah National Park who had a captive flock of Ferckens. Several nesting sites were found in and around his cave home. As the National Park Police surrounded his site two other bearded men were seen loading what appeared to be cardboard boxes into an older model black SUV. They were not apprehended. While residing in federal prison, awaiting his trial for living on National Parkland without a permit, the hermit, who will identify himself only as The Bird Man, babbles on about the importance of taming birds while they are young so they do not attempt to take over the world. He sits in his prison cell and watches “The Birds” over and over, day in and day out, begging everyone he comes in contact that they must listen to him if they are to save the world. Psychologist who had spoken to him, say it is just the ravings of a mad lunatic. Scientists who have studied his cave site insist there is no fear that he was raising the dreaded Ferckens as all scientific evidence points to nesting habits of perfectly normal chickens. “

This little man arrived at our shelter with his mom and two siblings. The Mom, Lola is listed as a schnoodle, personally I think they should be listed as muppets. The whole family looks like a Jim Henson creation. They couldn't be any cuter really.

Mom was in pretty rough shape when she got here, matted hair, infested with fleas. But she is a GOOD mama. She keeps a diligent eye on her three boys. It doesn't get any better than watching them run around the yard like drunken sailors. This is the smallest and quietest of the litter.

Hard not to fall in love.

EDIT 9/19/09: Seems like this little one was posted on the German language flickr blog yesterday! Thanks for all the recent views and comments!

Fish pike with the fly in a lake of Ireland, this technique associated with an absence with tongue on a simple hook allows the handing-over the water without damage for fish. One can even take down it without touching there after a beautiful photograph like this one...

(+1 in comments) This is Lisette. Not only is she a beauty but she is the sweetest, cuddliest little kitty. :) She is one of the cats I photographed for the shelter this weekend. {5/365}
