Here's a complete shot of the collab we built for "Steinewahn 2021" in Berlin. Check the affiliated builders feeds for detailed shots of their awesome buildings. My "Golden Teapot" is in the back there...

This will be the last photo I’ll be sharing of my collaboration with Daniel Konstanski for Blocks Magazine's The LEGO Ninjago Movie issue from October 2017.
I had the honor of working on the October 2017 issue of Blocks Magazine which focused on The LEGO Ninjago Movie! My good buddy Daniel Konstanski built this insane Ninjago City, I got to set up the figures and take and edited a ton of photos of it. Most of them made it in that issue, but now I'd like to share with you all a few of may favs. I'll be releasing them over the next week.
A member of one of the prominent gangs in Night City from a young age, this hardened criminal strikes fear into his enemies with his gruesome reputation, as well as his inuman cybernetic modifications.
Had a little fun taking some atmospheric shots of a couple Cyberpunk 2077-inspired minifigures based on the 3 different life paths available to you at the beginning of the game: Nomad, Streetkid, and Corpo.
After her clan was completely wiped out in a corporate strike on local nomad camps, this lone wanderer started life anew in Night City, using her skill as a marksman to make a living.

This is a photo I took to be part of my review of the Ninjago City but didn't make it in the end. If you haven't read about it you can check it out on Stuck in Plastic: www.stuckinplastic.com/2017/09/a-tour-of-ninjago-city/

Jay's Lightning Jet swooshing through the skies of Ninjago city, charging up for another attack.
In this shot, Jay's jet is being suspended over the city build with fishing wire. Just like we did with the dragon mech for the cover shot: flic.kr/p/YDtdub

New Hashima - Chicago
As we round out the year and look back, I realized we didn't actually post some edited shots of the thing I spent ... well basically the last year and more working on ... .along with Stefan and a massive team of 80 people we created New Hashima - a massive Cyber City.
I've seen and been a part of a lot of amazing builds and collaborations over the years, but I have never seen anything like this in the community. At 20x20 feet, and upwards of 13 feet tall, this thing was not just a massive build - but each builder put their hearts and soul into their portion creating a real breathing city, including so many angles and sections that couldn't possibly be seen on the layout.
This collab was so large it was basically organized as four separate collabs that fit together in a three pronged configuration:
02 - Inner City - The powerful and elite city core, which served as the center , where each of the following connected lead by Stefan
04 - Old City - a crumbling and seedy city center run by Mike
06 - Docks - Space Port and industrial super complex run by Simon
08 - Corpo - the original BFVA 22 New Hashima sector run by Stefan
So here's some cleaned up photos for those that missed it.
Special thanks to Blake Foster for taking Photographs, Stefan for the shiny new logo and Waffles for the cool background.

For the Lego exhibition Steinewahn (10th anniversary), some of us at Roguebricks wanted to do something special, so we built a Ninjago City as a collaboration of 9 builders. It won 1st price more than once^^
This is stage 1 of my planned Ninjago City expansion - I envisage adding more to the righthand-side and aso seeing where the Ninjago Docks set will fit.
Going to try to get the Temple of Airjitsu in there somewhere, as well as a pirate inn, a police station and some industrial background to give it a more neo-noir feel overall.
I also need to add in more set-decorations: better signage and posters etc.
Happy to present the sky walk of the #snakeblock. Inspired by #season1 of #ninjago. It is the first #modular in an expending #ninjagocity #masterofspinjitzu #ninjago #riseofthesnakes #serpentineblock #gystud #afol #rolug #ninjagocity #modular #legomodular
I'm very excited today, because today is the day that The LEGO Ninjago Movie issue of Blocks Magazine comes out! I had the pleasure of working with my good buddy Daniel Konstanski and photography his insane Ninjago City build - seriously this thing is huge! Plus lots of cool action shots of some of the movie's standout sets going to battle against Lord Garmadon's forces. Make sure to check out the issue, there is a ton of awesome content in it, not just my photos! ;-)
This cover shot in particular was a ton fun. I had the crazy idea of suspending the dragon with fishing wire over the city and photograph it. Seriously, the dragon model is not composited, its hanging from 4 points of wire, and about 5 feet off the ground. It took us an hour just to set it up and get the right pose, and BOOM there you have it! A Ninja Dragon Mech flying over Ninjago City. Unfortunately the version we had did not actually breath green fire, so that my friends is a special effect. ;-)
I planned to do my own Ninjago City expansion at some point, because it's easily one of my favorite sets of all time. Then TBB forced my hand, so trying to at least get a 16 stud module done in between other brickcon buildz.
Welcome to Ninjago. The Postman on his way up the Mountain of Impossible Heights to deliver mail to Sensei Wu
Evan and our partially constructed Ninjago City Gardens set. This was after about four days of building—but not full-time building. Evan had the whole week off from school for mid-winter break, so I was trying to make sure we paced ourselves. I think we ended up finishing a couple days later.
An entry for the 10th Ninjago anniversary contest at LegoIdeas- contestants should build something to put in a Ninjago museum but it got a little out of hand and now I have my very own piece of Ninjago City ^^
