Set on a private beach overlooking the Arabian Gulf, this sprawling upscale resort with domed rooftops is located at Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road - Ras al Khaimah - UAE.
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream.
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream.

Enjoy!
Every breaking wave on the shore
Tells the next one there'll be one more
And every gambler knows that to lose
Is what you're really there for...

Not easily accessible , this site I came across while driving a road near by. I had to stop and find a way to reach here, and I managed to do so. Soon after this I had a feeling that few might follow seeing me here from the road and within 30 minutes there were two more groups that approached seeing me (knowing that they too can come here). The view was fantastic and here is one of the images I took there.
Enjoy!

While driving along the coast in Oman, I saw this beautiful place and had to stop my car at side and approach this location. I found hundreds of crabs living in this tiny hole kind of rock formation. The waves were high at this point and it was a beautiful sight indeed. This is one of many pics that I took here.
I used ND1000 - 10-Stop filter here for the creamy water effect.
I hope you like it, enjoy!
Full-screen view is recommended.
One more image from my Oman trip. This one was taken at the Muscat corniche area. I had to find my way down near the rocks and to set-up my camera and filters. There were few people nearby who came for fishing.
It was little difficult to set-up everything since the wind was blowing very heavily and I was afraid of images being hazy due to the wind that might shake the tripod a bit. Hence, I took many pics ( hoping that few will come sharp if not all ) and this is one of them.
I hope you'll like it!

Also known as the Summer Palace, Bang Pa-In Royal Palace is a palace complex formerly used by the Thai kings. It lies beside the Chao Phraya River in Bang Pa-In district, Ayutthaya Province.
King Prasat Thong constructed the original complex in 1632, but it fell into disuse and became overgrown in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, until King Mongkut began to restore the site in the mid-19th century. Most of the present buildings were constructed between 1872 and 1889 by King Chulalongkorn.
The palace remains largely open to visitors, as King Bhumibol Adulyadej and his family use it only rarely for banquets and special occasions.

First post from the ICELAND trip. There are many iconic places in Iceland and I had pleasure shooting them. But what is more unique about Iceland is that it has thousands and thousand of places that are equally beautiful and amazing. Also the weather here, that changes at anytime and everytime - making the same place look completely different by altering the mood.
I was driving on the Road 1 and (I think) just before Djupivogur I saw this mountain with relatively calm water-body in front. I was so amazed looking at this beauty, the wind was very strong, it was drizzling and dark clouds were approaching and I wanted to capture this mood. Somehow, I managed to take the off-road (not a big deal as it was short and very approachable) and drove my car down to this place. Spent some time understanding the location and enjoy it a little bit before I get busy with the shooting. The rain started to get more aggressive, but still manageable at this point.
I setup the tripod and took a few shots, but I knew that only a long-exposure will do justice to this shot and the mood I wanted to capture. But the drizzling became more prominent and I thought it is better to take exposure that is less than 30 seconds and not more or I will end-up with images that will be of no use due to drops that might get captured in the process. So I used Haida Nano PRO 6-Stops ND filter, giving me about 30 seconds exposure in that situation. I took at least 15 Shots (so I have more chances of getting image that has no or less drops) and now, while opening the files I found out that all of them have rain drops in it except for two images - What a relief! This place was unknown and I could find the name for it on the Maps, so this whole time this place was printed on my mind as "The Unknown"

What if you are driving by, exploring the place, you look at your left and suddenly A Rainbow appears right in front of your eyes! I quickly stopped the car at side, got out and spend those amazing 10 minutes gazing and capturing this rainbow before it vanished...
It also had second ring around it, but that wasn't complete and fully visible, but still very amusing! Clouds were moving fast and I knew that this Rainbow is not going to last for long because of the cloud's movement.
I witnessed another Rainbow at other place few hours after this event, I'll post that sometime later but here is my first encounter.

Shadows will soon overtake these mountains in the Himachal, but before they do you just gotta capture some of that great light.
The last and the highest pass on the Srinagar-Leh highway. The roads are in an excellent condition and it is a pleasure to drive
Hamnøy, Moskenes, Norland County, Lofoten Island, Norway.
The small fishing village of Hamnøy is the most pittoresque village I have ever seen.
Visible in the foreground is a traditional type of seasonal houses used by fishermen, called Rorbuer. Today these houses are – renovated or new – mostly rented to tourists. Visible in the background is the mountain Festhæltinden, which rises about 389 metres (1276.3 feet) above sea level.
Dubai welcomed 2018, the 'Year of Zayed', with a Guinness World Record title with "Light Up 2018', a laser light show at Burj Khalifa.
At the stroke of midnight, the world's tallest tower danced in ethereal web of lights after paying tribute to the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The mesmerising laser, light and musical fountain show not only had a spellbinding effect on spectators, but Emaar's 'Light Up 2018' also clinched the Guinness World Records title for the 'largest light and sound show on a single building,' staged on Burj Khalifa, the global icon. 'Light Up 2018' on Burj Khalifa, spanned an impressive surface area of 109,252 sq metres (about 27 acres, the size of about 20 football fields) - more than double that of the earlier record set.
This was the first time Burj Khalifa did not welcome the New Year with fireworks but spectators were all the more enamored with the laser light show.
The same show was repeated a few times between 1st to 6th of January to re-live the moment. On the 31st December, it was crazy-crowded and reaching there on time was an impossible task, so I did not go there and instead spent time with Family and Friends. But yes, how could I miss the opportunity next time when they repeated the same!

Kalpa stands geographically at the confluence of Kinnaur that primarily follows Hinduism and Spiti Valley that follows Buddhism. You can see the confluence and co-existence of both the faiths at Kalpa. There are Buddhist temples here that look no different from Hindu temples from outside except may be a chorten as a sign. Among Hindu temples in Kalpa, Chandika Devi Temple in Kothi and Nag Nagini in Chini town (old name of Kalpa) are worth a visit. Nag Nagini Temple has old carvings on top of the temple roofs. Chandika Devi Temple belongs to the reigning deity of Kalpa and you can see the skin of snow leopard here that is supposed to be the vehicle of the goddess. In most temples in Himachal, visitors and even locals are not allowed inside the temple. Only priests wearing the green Kinnaur cap and a waistband called Gachi can go inside the temples. Everyone else must pay his or her respects from a distance. Most temples are located at strategic points and more often than not, you get breathtaking views of the Himalayas from here.

Dubai | UAE | 2016
Behind all the glitters and glamour of Dubai, there are unsung heroes who do what they do, which could send shivers down our spine. Be it construction workers braving the heat building skyscrapers putting their life on edge or be it the municipality workers walking miles picking up the thrash we throw without a second thought, or be it these window cleaners who dangle at scary heights to keep the bling factor of Dubai soaring high. Not often we get chance to thank them enough for what they do, this morning, that chance came my way.
They gathered around 8am on the 75th floor (rooftop) of a residential skyscraper in Dubai Marina. With wide smile, like a kid in amusement park, they got onto their job of hanging on a little seat, swinging around as they cleaned inch by inch of the "Most Twisted" tower in the world. When asked if they don't get scared, their reply was pretty straight forward, "Yes, it is scary but someones got to do the job"
Whats more amusing to me is the Indo-Pak team that operated on this. With exception of the window cleaner in the image (he's from Ghana), rest of the cleaners were from Pakistan, while the team which monitored and controlled the ropes and assured the safety of these brave men were from India. It's the coordinated effort which makes sure these men hanging on the edge do their job with utmost safety. Bottom line : Spare the enmity, we as humans can do better together.

Sabha which happens at the temple in Barsana and Nandgaon, is a gathering with devotees singing prayers in praise of Lord Krishna, with colors exploding all around them.
Holi, though a heaven for photographers in many ways, is equally a place where photographers forget their ethics. The selfishness and ignorance of so called "photographers" reaches its absolute peak during the ceremony.
There are two kinds of photographers at Holi - 1. Those who stay at safe distance, respecting other photographers view point and also respecting the holy ceremony, and then 2. Theres the other kind, who surround this little space of sabha in huge numbers, with absolute no regard to photographers shooting else where or the ceremony itself.
One photographer went to a whole new extent by sitting in sabha along side the devotees, only to be literally kicked out later.
There were few who had their gopro on monopod, who for some reason thought its cool to glide the monopod through the sabha, thereby screwing the images of anyone shooting till his fancy was fulfilled.
My message to those photographers is pretty simple. You may have great images by doing what you shamelessly do, but every time we see that "GREAT" images of yours, we know which category you belong to.
