The incomparable sight of the glorious Wildflower hall, in the midst of the majestic Himalayas surrounded by thick forest of the deodar trees with the blue sky giving it a well defined imperial look!

There was a young calf nearby. This can be a difficult time of year for moose when the snow has a hard crust but is also deep. They were feeding off small and sometimes broken birch from a recent ice storm.
On a visit to Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula in November I was determined to photograph this shipwreck.
I arrived in Harbour Grace about 2 hours before sunset and once I found my location I set up two cameras. This one was taken with the Nikon Z5 and the AF-S 300mm f4 D.
I light mist moved into the area just at sunset and while it looked good on some photos I decided to swap the sky in this one to add some drama. It is not something I typically do but I'm trying to challenge myself and improve my skills in that area.
If things go well in the months ahead, the SS Kyle will see me once again in the not too distant future.
Standing on top of a mountain, the luxurious vintage Wildflower Hall, amidst cedar forest at 8,250 feet above sea level, has an imperial charm and yet modern feel. A stay in this beautiful hotel is like a fairytale coming to life!

A day or two of freezing rain definitely caused power outages but when the power was working, it was also quite pretty.
Newfoundland winters definitely seem to have changed over the past 8 years. Every year there is less snow it seems. The snow in this photo is now all gone again after some rain and 7 degrees. Now it is cold again with flurries (at best) for the next few days.

This little fellor was gorgeous running around wildly and then just stopped for a fleeting moment and I captured this.. The emotion in this shot says to me - "Don't worry Ill be ok..." Just beautiful place to visit.
