It's been a tedious journey for these animal but they made it across the river and onto the Masai Mara savannah! Speck of black and white in a sea of green, blue and Wildebeest!
I realised I hadn't put up any black and white portraits in a while. So here is one of the African Lynx as seen at the Mount Kenya Wildlife Orphanage!
Ariadne ariadne, the angled castor, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in Asia
This butterfly is orange brown with wavy lines running across. The margin is somewhat wavy and appearing truncated at the apex of the forewing. The margin is wavy with a large angle present on the fifth vein interspace and at the tip of vein three. The tornus is broadly angulate. The hindwing termen is deeply scalloped. There is a prominent white spot towards the apex of the forewing. The cilia are white, alternated with brown. On the underside there is more brown.
Embrace of the Ceylon Oak
In the heart of the emerald glade,
Where whispers of ancient stories wade,
Stands the Ceylon oak, steadfast and grand,
A sentinel of time, in this lush land.
With a crown of red, new leaves unfurl,
Like tiny flames in a gentle swirl,
Each bud a promise, each leaf a sigh,
Embracing the sun, reaching for the sky.
Roots deep in the earth, they cradle the past,
Silent witness to seasons, forever cast,
While breezes dance through its canopied throne,
In the symphony of life, it stands alone.
Thale Waek or the Separated Sea is one of Krabi’s natural phenomenons and a major tourist attraction. Here, three captivating islands are bound together by a single sand bank, like a secret passage unveiled only during low tide. It's a sight to behold, and a rare opportunity to literally walk between islands! Kick back, take a dip, or snap some memorable shots. This extraordinary spot is all about creating unforgettable memories.
I often find myself immensely drawn to the image of the lone acacia trees in the vast savannah. That must be apparent in my pictures too! Here is another one of my favourite pictures of the Savannah scape. Hope you like it as much as I do!
The outstretched tongue of Kali distinguishes her from all other gods and goddesses of the Hindu pantheon. There are many goddesses who, like Kali, are naked and associated with blood and death, including Chandi, Chamunda, Bhairavi and Bhagavati, but none stick out their tongue like Kali.
The fierce and intense form of Maa Kali, with her tongue out, signifies her readiness to protect and destroy any forces that threaten the divine order and the balance of the universe.
Some things that anger Goddess Kali are: 1 Cheating other people for your selfish material needs. 2 Developing false pride and having it. Ahankaar.

Dry fish is locally called ‘shutki’. In winter, many fishermen catch fish mainly to make dry fish. But traditional drying methods are used in the absence of a modern dry fish preservation facility. Most of time they dry fish under sun; these dried fish can bring them profit by exporting them.
Taken as our safari ride drove through the vast savannah. I wish the picture was a little clearer but I couldn't not put it up! I love the shade of the Acacia tree against the backdrop of the migrating wildebeest!
An assortment of animals had gathered at the watering hole to cool off. Taken at the SweetWaters Tented Camps at Ol Pejeta.

"Reflex Revival: The First Shot Back"
This image marks a return to photography through the eye of a real lens. Taken with a phone, it captures the moment I held my Nikon again, with my reflection sealed inside the lens—like a quiet promise to start seeing again. It’s raw, imperfect, but true: the beginning of a new visual story.
Back to the pastures of the Masai Mara. We watched this young Lion walking stealthily through the grass!
Happy New Year all! Hope you've all had a wonderful holiday season! It's been a few months since I've uploaded anything on Flickr. Truth be told, I have missed immersing myself in the world of photographs and the amazing shots I get to see on Flickr! But there were more pressing events that needed my attention, both personal and professional. Needless to say I grew up a lot over the last few months.
I am so glad to be back in the new year where I hope to move away from Africa for a while and bring you pictures from my recent travels! Nonetheless Africa will always have my heart and I will go back to the series eventually!
Thus, I bring you one of my favourite shots from being up, close and personal with one of my favourite species on the planet. Taken at the amazing David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Hope you love it as much as I do :)
An all-time favorite of an autumnal foggy sunrise over the Cascade Range, starring Mount Rainier. Working from home the past several months means I don't get time to hustle down the trail for sunrise on the way to work.
On this particular October morning, I knew that as soon as the sun rose over the Cascades, fog would develop in the valley. I only had a few minutes to shoot this before a wave of fog overtook me.
