Nikola Tesla was born an ethnic Serb in the village Smiljan, Lika county, in the Austrian Empire (present day Croatia), on 10 July 1856. He was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Tesla's work fell into relative obscurity following his death, until 1960, when the General Conference on Weights and Measures named the SI unit of magnetic flux density the tesla in his honor.

Excerpt from www.teslasociety.com/victoria.htm:
Nikola Tesla Monument within Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Falls (Canadian side) was unveiled on July 9, 2006:
Nikola Tesla designed the first hydroelectric power plant at Niagara Falls, New York which started producing electrical power in 1895. This was the beginning of the electrification of the United States and the rest of the world. Today, Tesla's AC electricity is lighting and powering the globe. Nikola Tesla is the genius who lit the world.
Now, the inventor of alternating current has a permanent tribute overlooking the Horseshoe Falls at Niagara Falls, Canadian side.
As a boy, Tesla saw a picture of Niagara Falls and told his uncle in Lika, Croatia, that he wanted to put a wheel under the falls to harness the power of the moving water.
This great monument of Nikola Tesla at Niagara Falls, Canadian side, is one of greatest recognition of Nikola Tesla's work. Tesla designed the first hydro-electric power plant at Niagara Falls and with George Westinghouse started the electrification of the world. This monument is built in one of the most beautiful and most important place in the world.
DC meter on the left and AC on the right. This is in the Silversmith hydroelectric station in Sandon. It was was built in 1897. The same year Nikola Tesla was giving the lecture "On Electricity" for the occasion o the commemoration of the introduction of Niagara Falls power in Buffalo NY. These gauges are from 1916, the same year Tesla declares bankruptcy.
Every physicist and electrical engineer knows Nikola Tesla, the Serbian who invented--among many other things--wireless power transmission and the alternating current electrical system we use today. But Edison was the more ruthless businessman, Marconi got the credit for radio, and Tesla survived on a small stipend from Westinghouse in his last years.

Concrete Central 3
The third image from my venture out to this iconic location from Buffalo's commercial heyday. In this little project, I've played with color and mono versions of the various subjects, for this long hallway, I felt color suited the subject.
Technical: 3 shot HDR (handheld) using my Olympus Om-D e-M1.2 with my new m.Zuiko 25mm f1.2 Pro lens and Haida Nanopro 2-5 stop variable ND filter. Base exposure was 25mm | f1.2 | ISO3200 | 1/60th.
Development: The initial exposures were RAW processed using DxO PhotoLab 4 with exposure blending handled by Nik HDR Efex Pro. The combined image was then processed in On1 Photo RAW 2021 culminating with a roundtrip to Nik Silver Efex Pro and blending back in using On1 Layers.
From wikipedia: "Concrete Central was built between 1915 and 1917 at the height of World War I. Due to its being the largest grain elevator in the world and concerns about German sabotage, Concrete Central's method of construction was top secret. The facility was utilized for grain storage until 1966. Concrete Central stretches along the Buffalo River for almost a quarter of a mile and was the largest transfer elevator in the world at the time of its completion in 1917.[2] It is also the largest elevator ever built in the Buffalo area. When in operation, it had the capacity to handle a total of 4.5 million US bushels (160,000 m3) of grain. The elevator allowed crews to load and unload 20 railroad cars an hour, and three marine legs along the Buffalo River side could load and unload three massive lake freighters at one time."

Subtle Colour Pencil Slider - Niagara Falls Statue
In 1895, Tesla and industrialist George Westinghouse created the world's first hydroelectric power plant at the Niagara Falls, beating out Tesla's rival Thomas Edison and changing the way we look at such powerful natural forces.
The Maid of the Mist is a tour boat company based in Niagara Falls, New York. (Niagara City Cruises operate a similar experience from the Canadian side). The boats bring passengers nvery close to the base of the falls. The twenty minute experience costs around thirty dollars. The Maid of the Mist has two fully electric, emissions free boats, the James V. Glynn and the Nikola Tesla (shown) which began service in 2020. The Maid of the Mist name dates to 1846 when it was a side wheel steamboat that ferried people, luggage, cargo and mail across the Niagara River. In 1885 the first of the similar named excursion boats began taking passengers close to the Horseshoe Falls.

But instinct is something which transcends knowledge. We have, undoubtedly, certain finer fibers that enable us to perceive truths when logical deduction, or any other willful effort of the brain, is futile.
L'istinto è qualcosa che trascende la conoscenza. Abbiamo, indubbiamente, certe fibre più fini che ci permettono di percepire la verità quando la deduzione logica o qualsiasi altro sforzo intenzionale del cervello, risulta futile.

Tesla was carrying a paper-wrapped bundle under his arm. He looked furtively to the left, to the right. He walked hurriedly, the brim of his fedora pulled down over his brow. She noticed, as he passed by, the scent of jasmine and smoke, the incense of his ever-charged mind. He gave her a half-smile and hurried up the stairs. She watched two men in black overcoats following, following...
