A late 1700’s French creole house constructed of plastered vertical logs. Saint Mary’s Road, St. Genevieve Missouri. Typical of the lower Mississippi valley during the French and later Spanish regimes.

Rom bei Nacht - Piazza della Rotonda (vor einem Jahr)

Die Piazza Rotonda wird beherscht vom Pantheon, jenem allen Göttern geweihten Tempel, den Marcus Agrippa im Jahre 27 errichten ließ. Der Brunnen auf dem Platz davor ist hingegen weit jünger, er stammt aus der Zeit um 1575 und wurde von Giacomo Della Porta und Leonardo Sormani gestaltet. Sehr alt ist aber wiederum der Obelisk - er stammt aus der Zeit Ramses II ...

I had an early morning tea yesterday when no one else was around. Apparently, the dining room wasn't quite prepared for customers because the flowers on each table appeared to be a few days old. I found my vase of flowers charming enough to photograph, though.
