HSS!!
I kinda like this shot, so I may post it again later in the week. It wasn't really a night shot, but with the magic of Topaz, it is now..;)
Most of the rain missed me. The power did go off. I woke up wondering why I was hot and than I realized I couldn't see anything. It was a little nerve racking. The weather man says we're getting more tonight. Yikes. I'm suppose to go hiking on Monday. We'll see if that happens.
This is another one that I just got tired of messing with. However, I kinda like it so I may re-do it later when I have more time to mess with it.
Hope everyone is having a great week
Buda Castle Tunnel cuts through Buda Castle Hill allowing access between Clark Ádám Square and Krisztinaváros. At 350 meters long, it is the same length as the Chain Bridge leading up to it and the locals like to say it is where they store the bridge when it rains!
I took my tripod with me to Corpus because I new I would be doing some night shots. It was really windy, so I'm surprise the boats came out in focus
"Capture a shadow, Dance with the wind, Stand in a rainbow, Begin at the end." - Mary Anne Radmacher.
About a month ago I posted a shadow image with this quote. I challenged myself to try these ideas suggested by Mary Anne. I did dance with the wind on the wide open prairies during our recent road trip. Then we drove all the way to Vancouver Island which is where I took this image of the Fisgard Lighthouse. That western coastline was the end of our drive out west but it was the beginning of an equally memorable drive back to where we started. Now I need to figure out how to “ stand in a rainbow”.
HFF!!
This is one of the boats you can take to cruise up and down the lake here in Austin. It's really pretty boring unless the bats are flying, but it's something to do if you're a stranger in a strange town. It's a fake paddle boat. No motors, except electric, are allowed on the lake.
I'm still messing around..;)) I'm happier with this one but I'm still looking for that shot that blows my socks off..;) Aren't we all. This is Ingleside, Texas. Hard to believe it's been over 2 years since I was there. Guess that's why I 'm ready for another trip to the coast.
Rockport, Texas that is. While I was in Rockport, the hotel room was the worst ever. The air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air, the wifi was down and it had bugs. On the bright side, I got some great pic..;). I have a big weekend coming up. The Bat Festival on Saturday night and the Hot Sauce Festival on Sunday.
I had another one I was working on but there are so many power lines going through it and it's driving me crazy..:) Anyway, I'm having fun with my new processing method. Do you think it's too harsh? I like it but do I like it just because it different, I don't know yet.
I did not eat here. There was one of these in Austin and it closed down. It, too , was in a great location. However, the lights and colors from the restaurant made for a great night shot. I hope you all are enjoying my vacation through my lenses..;)
I want to go back, but not with the same person..:)
We almost never have snow here in central Texas, so Santa has to drive a truck..:) A little Texas Trivia..;) Actually, we did get caught up in that winter blast. The temperatures have been in the 20,Fahrenheit or around -7 Celsius. That's really cold to us. Not all of us know how to dress for those kind of temps. But, no worries, it'll be in the 70ies and rainy on Christmas day..:(
I took this shot at Emily Ann Theatre and Gardens light show here in Wimberley. I was fairly impressed with the show. Most of the activities were for the kids, as it should be, and you could tell by there screens how much the kids were enjoying it.
Hope you're not getting tired of my coast shots. I had a really good time on this trip and took a lots of pics.
I was on my way home from work and saw this farm house all lit up. So, when I went to work the next day, I took my tripod and camera with me. The road was really narrow and I would have to huge the fence when a car would come past. However, being country people, a lot of them slowed down for me. Anyways, if you celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a great one. If not, enjoy your time off from work..;)
I posted a shot like this one on slider Sunday, but I just really like the point of view on this one so I'm posting it as well.
Today was remember Pearl Harbor day. I had almost forgotten it. On December 7, 1941 over 2200 military personal lost there lives in combat. It's really something we should remember.
That's Harrison Landing restaurant in Corpus Christi, TX with the lights on. The name of the boat in the foreground is called " Pusservin". I don't know what that means. I don't think it's English. Anyway, this was my last night there and I was so happy for the calm water.

The rising full moon illuminates the hidden house, giving it back energy. The evening mist, lit by the moon, delicately draws the forest. .
This is the real scene I captured.
Planning the scene and waiting for the right conditions are the basis of my photography. I show the world as it is at the moment without any changes. My post-production is only about extracting the light properly, I don't even change the framing, which forces me to approach each photo carefully.
Happy Slider Sunday!!

I haven't done one of these in a while so here it is. Gotta get my monies worth out of the software..;)) I wanted to take some pictures today but we had light rain and fog all day, so all I did was take my camera for a ride..;)
Lets hope Sunday is a better day

Austin skyline, looking from south to north. This is what happens when you forget to take a flash light with you..;) I thought, no worries, there's plenty of lights downtown
I went to an arts and craft show at the Palmer event center Friday night and it's the first time I've been there since the remodel so, of course, I went to the wrong entrance. But while I was behind the building..:) I saw this great shot...with a bench..;) And, here it is. The light show went great. I video it but I can't figure out how to get it off my phone. Well, actually, I can't figure out how to do the blue tooth to match up the pc with my phone. Maybe tomorrow..:(
These are from the Christmas light show in Marble Falls, Texas. It was named Marble Falls because of all the Marble in and around the city. Anyway, it was a nice light show and much larger than I would have thought for a small town.
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas..:)) Christmas light shows are everywhere this time of year.
The cold weather has hit this place. We don't get show, just the cold and windy at times.
I hope everyone has a fabulous new year
This is the Austin Skyline. I shot this the other night while I was at the Austin Long Center for the Performing Arts. I thought the candy cane effect was pretty cool.
I want to thank everyone for there support and encouragement during 2015. I'm really looking forward to 2016 and the images it will bring
This is a hidden old bridge in downtown Austin. I've used this image before, but I just downloaded Google's Nik Collection and had to try it out. Admittedly, I used Topaz, Lightroom and Photoshop on this image..;) Just so you know, The Google Nik Collection is now free. Here's a link where you can go and download it for free if you wish.
I added the Sea Gulls..We don't actually have those in Austin..:)
This is a shot from the Texas coast, Port Aransas.
We've been having the kind of winter I hate. Cold and rainy, but than I look at your images and yours are cold and snowy..;) Yesterday, I tried tye dyeing a sheet a blue gray to use as a backdrop for portraits. The color came out pretty good, but the tye dyeing..not so much..:) Oh well, it's still usable

This is the Guadalupe County District Clerks office in Seguin, Texas. It not a great looking place, as Texas prides it's self on great looking courthouses. This one, for sure, will not make the list..:) The only reason I took this shot is because I've been waiting for a long time to take a reflection shot like this after a rain. I didn't really get the reflection I wanted so I had to use Photo Shop
Happy Window Wednesday!
HWW!!
Stevie Lew's, 5340 TX-35, Rockport, TX is a family run business. If you work there, you're family. I found this place while I was killing time waiting to check into my motel room. Stevie is just a little younger than me, so I got his attention after the rush slowed down and he came over to my table and I asked him if he could think of anything that would make a good photo. Can you believe it, he's a photographer..:) What are the odds. Anyway, he starting telling me different locations where I could get some great shots, and the best time of day to go. Blew me away. I went by his place around 5am to get this night shot. I posted it on google and it comes up when you google Stevie's place.
Again..:) Don't know why I'm in this Christmas mood this year, but I am. I'm going to see a light show Sunday night.
Happy Window Wednesday
HWW!
I was downtown Saturday night watching the Mexican fruit bats fly out from under this bridge and what a show they put on. About a million and a half bats flew out. It looked like smoke coming out from under the bridge. I'll post a shot of it Thursday.
De'voir Boutique at the Water Street Market Square in Corpus Christi, Texas.
I shot this on a tripod at f22, so I don't know why the benches or out of focus.
Moving has been a night mare..;) Thankfully, it's almost over. The guy came out to install the Internet but couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. I called, and was told it would take a week before someone else could come out. Than the lady next door told me, my cable didn't work because her dog chewed it in half..So, I said I'll pay you 20 bucks if you let me tap into your wifi for a week. She said, " Oh no, I couldn't do that?? Whatever. It's working now..Yeah!!

Nimbus Cloud
Artist/Designer: Dharmesh Patel, Associate AIA
Nimbus Cloud resembles a rain cloud and is a reflection on the vitality of Waller Creek and the nature that surrounds it.
The green ghost you see was someone walking through the frame..;) I tried to get one without people walking into and out of the frame but I got tired of standing there with my finger on the button..;)
