Taken from before the first lockdown in 2020 this was a breathtaking moment to witness and remember! The sunrise was incredible over Llyn Nantlle in Swowdonia, I had been out all night capturing the Milky Way so this was an added bonus to finish the shoot!
The weather forecast for tonight for Toronto is 30 cm of snow... Crazy weather.. and I was just curious to see with different settings how my camera would capture it. So keep on clicking. And from many that I have taken, I really liked this one.
Thank you kindly everyone for taking the time to have a close look at my images, its highly appreciated!
Walking tonight we came across this beautiful flower. There were others in the same area. This example was by far the best looking and its background was most conducive to process into this finish product. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe and be kind to everyone.
Taking a break in the afternoon before heading back into Bryce Canyon for sunset and night captures, here is another taken last evening on our trip here in Utah.
This one is down along the Fairyland Trail with one of the hoodoos there and some light paint ... along with the Gang in the night sky including Comet Neowise, Big Dipper, Andromeda Galaxy, and the Milky Way.
Morning fog after a rainy night.
Captured at Gutweiler / Germany.
Camera: Olympus E-M1
Lens: Olympus 150mm f2.0
Attempted this night capture at 5 seconds and ISO 4000 to keep from blowing out the lighthouse in the light from the parking lot. Was still able to get some of that Milky Way beyond that was out over the Atlantic Ocean beyond the lighthouse.
For hundreds of years Paris has served as a genuine “research lab” where pioneering architects have come to experiment with their ideas. This has ultimately fashioned the French capital into a city which has bit of everything. If you looked around, you would grasp the presence of different epochs coexisting harmoniously in the city’s Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Neo-Classical, Art Nouveau and Contemporary Architecture styles.
Just playing with night capture ( AV mode) , direct from the new Rebel XSi camera.

Nenhum HDR ou tratamento, só brincando de captura noturna com a nova camera.
As I headed into the Windows area to take some night captures, there were a few other photographers and hikers about adding additional light into the landscape under the pretty Milky Way.
Here is another night capture taken that I have gone back to try out the new Lightroom AI Noise Reduction to the RAW file. Pretty cool results. A link to the original processed image and posted earlier is in the comments that you can also compare against.
View Large to compare. The Milky Way Core is really crisp here and the tufa details with the AI NR are pretty impressive.
Previous post to this also shows two other images that you can also compare AI NR.
Happy Fence Friday
Night capture taken in Wyoming on a bridge crossing a river that feeds into the Snake River.
I re-edited some night captures I took at the Trona Pinnacles from 2018 with Nik filters. That night was so terrible windy I could barely hold the tipod still for my 20 and 30 second exposures. I had to pack it in early due to the weather conditions. As I recall there was a crescent moon, that light wasn't just from my light painting.
Just upgraded Lightroom and the new version has Super Enhance where you can double to the resolution ... I applied it to one of my recent night captures and was really impressed with the results allowing for crop of the original capture showing even more details there in the night sky ... this is about 1/4 of the original frame zoning in more on the Milky Way and the stars there.
Recommend viewing large and let me know what you think.
By the way, the full size JPEG out of the Ligthroom with the Super Resolution is 60MB.
This cropped image JPEG here posted is still 20MB. The equivalency here would be shooting this capture with a 28mm lens on the full frame camera.
Gonna Need a Bigger Boat ... Storage Drive that is.

Caught a relaxed moment, picture is as good as not blurred, didn't have a tripod with me, again....
Caught the moonlight over the Goosenecks in Utah as night continued. Captured this after sunset in the Valley of the Gods ... and some night captures taken there as well.
Night capture of the Guadalquivir river as it passes through Seville ... In the image you can see the reflections on the river produced by the emblematic Puente de Isabel II, popularly known as Puente de Triana, a link between the famous and historic neighborhood of Triana and the urban center of Seville ... Behind the bridge, "Torre Sevilla" stands out, a skyscraper of 42 floors and 185 meters high ... on the left the golden one for its night lighting and also an emblem of the city, Betis street.

Couple taking the time to take in the lovely sunset light at this iconic location. I was scoping out possible reflection locations for late night captures and sunrise :)
No invites please,
No garden shot tonight instead this boardwalk night capture,
I took this about an hour ago, missed the pink sky clouds by ten minutes:-(((
... she was out on this hike with me into the night when she needed to find something in her backpack ... during my night capture of course :)
Think it was bug spray ...
So much going on here in the night capture with mist in the air adding the light rays at the lighthouse, the moon between the tower and the flagpole ... and that flag that was flapping in the ever changing breeze ... in a bunch of different directions in this 30 second exposure.
Pemaquid Point
Its been awhile since I went for sunsets by the harbor,
here I captured the Moon with Venus.
Have a smiling Sunday everyone.

So it has been great the comet Neowise was out in the sky adding to the opportunities for some night captures in addition to the Milky Way.
GOT Extremely lucky on this night where was planning on some night shots in silhouette and light painting at Double Arch, which I was not able to do last year when we passed through Moab. The comet Neowise could be seen through the arch. So very cool.
We also had to stop by and visit the dinosaurs again at Moab Giants late yesterday so that my youngest daughter and her boyfriend could walk among the beasts. It was a mostly cloudy afternoon so as we were there I was thinking that some dinosaur crops in some night shots might look cool.
Mrs. Krach is also doing a teacher webinar the past several days and today's project was working on a packet related Extinction Events ... SO ... the idea of the T-Rex there in this night capture of the comet at Double Arch came to mind. Cropped him in, and added the shadow for the fun effect.
Hope you enjoy this 'event view' as much as I had taking the captures and then playing with them.
BTW - the light painting here was done by my daughter and her boyfriend who were among the rocks there making this night capture at Double Arch work well with the light painting. I had them bounce the light off the rocks up into the arches.
Now heading back out for some photo taking while she continues with her webinar.

a play with lights, colours and shapes of a night capture of mine of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia.
The moonlight through the thin clouds and smoke in the air was amazing to see there while in the desert. Added a bit of light there indirectly bringing the desert floor details to life there at night.
Captured with the 14mm at f/2,8. White Balance at 5500 Kelvin, daylight.
