Will is a Nigerian dwarf goat, and lives at Wright-Locke Farm. He was grazing along the fence, when he saw me and came up to say hello. He's still shedding his soft winter undercoat, so I should bring a brush with me next time.

Since 2009 over 50,000 people have been killed as a result of the terrorist group Boko Haram. They were created in Nigeria but branched out into the neighboring countries 2014 and escalted the conflict drastically. However in 2015 a coalition force drove them back, even though they're still active, they're not nearly as strong as they once were.

Unique to Abeokuta, the return of those once enslaved resulted in the creation and the development of the Yoruba Africa-Brazilian style, wich appropiated and integrated Yoruba homes in a hybrid that reflected and physically accomodated old and new cultural practices.
Halima, 17, fled the occuppied town of Gwoza in northeastern Nigeria days before a military assault forced Boko Haram to retreat in March 2015. She said her mother paid a people smuggler from the nomadic Fulani tribe to lead her on bush paths to Mubi, a city which under government control.
