Behind this image lies a little funny story. Actually wanted my niece and I go into the normal 15th bus, saw this and rushed it to noticed until seconds before and this is one of those old buses that drove a special tour. Shortly thereafter came the we wanted a ride, but before we rushed back what I thought: "Well, but the'd be a super photo" .... And yes, we have the other bus still caught! :D

Elstow, Bedfordshire is famous for its pious, dissident preacher and author John Bunyan who came from this village. His most famous work "The Pilgrim's Progress" has never been out of print. This was his local church and he rang the bells in the tower that stands alone and detached. His early influences were made here.
Countess Judith, niece of William the Conqueror, founded a Benedictine nunnery in Elstow in the year 1078. The Elstow nuns came from wealthy families and each came with an endowment of money and/or lands.
In 1538 Elstow Abbey was valued as being the eighth richest nunnery in England. On 26 August 1539, the Abbess was forced to surrender the Abbey, the manor of Elstow and all the Abbey's other lands and estates throughout England, to King Henry VIII, as part of his Dissolution of the Monasteries. Much was demolished and the Abbey would have been at least twice the size. The three windows and east wall were added around 1580.
This is a portrait of my husbands niece. I took this back during the holidays-she loves to smile, I actually have to tell her to smile softer because I like portraits that are quieter, so it's very hard for her not to have that big beautiful grin. Great little dancer and a heart of gold. You may remember this one of her
I had a photoshoot party with a bunch of girls last week for one of the girl's birthday. So cute how they want to be little models. And I must admit they do it so well... don't they just look like pro's? ;)

Joleigh has the most amazing big blue eyes, I swear. And I am her favorite aunt. Mind you, I am her ONLY aunt, and she is my only niece, but this doesn't change anything. *Grins*
This is my niece. She is a firstborn child and the first granddaughter. We have plenty of photos.
I thought I'd mix it up a bit.
Allison with two of her nieces. She is visiting with the other nieces and nephews today.
Travel safe and have fun all weekend!
