Les belles rames tractées TER reliant quotidiennement Marseille et Nice, commencent à se faire rare ! Voici la BB22245 en tête de l'une d'entre elles composée de sept voitures dont une B5uxh en queue, et serpente le long de la côte et du Massif de l'Esterel.

Ad Anthéor-Cap-Roux si trova uno dei punti fotografici più suggestivi della Costa Azzurra: tramite un breve sentiero o direttamente dalla strada si accede facilmente a uno scenario spettacolare, dominato dal Massiccio dell’Esterel, il cui caratteristico colore arancione è simbolo della regione insieme al Mar Mediterraneo.
Il timore mio principale qui era quello di essere in anticipo con la stagione, in estate infatti il sole rimane alto e la luce è meno dorata rispetto all’inverno, ma da agosto in poi si riescono comunque a ottenere ottimi risultati.
Altra incognita da non sottovalutare sono i bus o i camper che, con il loro passaggio, potrebbero rovinare irrimediabilmente lo scatto. In questo contesto ideale, un TGV Duplex proveniente da Nizza transita puntuale in direzione di Parigi.

In Anthéor-Cap-Roux befindet sich einer der eindrucksvollsten Aussichtspunkte der Côte d'Azur: Über einen kurzen Fußweg oder direkt von der Straße aus gelangt man leicht zu einer spektakulären Kulisse, die vom Esterel-Massiv dominiert wird, dessen charakteristische orange Farbe zusammen mit dem Mittelmeer das Symbol der Region ist.
Meine größte Befürchtung war, dass ich zu früh in der Saison hier sein könnte, denn im Sommer steht die Sonne hoch am Himmel und das Licht ist weniger golden als im Winter, aber ab August kann man trotzdem hervorragende Ergebnisse erzielen.
Eine weitere nicht zu unterschätzende Unbekannte sind Busse oder Wohnmobile, die mit ihrer Durchfahrt die Aufnahme irreparabel ruinieren könnten. In diesem idealen Umfeld fährt pünktlich ein TGV Duplex aus Nizza in Richtung Paris vorbei.

Several red-bellied woodpeckers were in the back yard today, as well as a variety of smaller birds. It was in the high seventies and felt like spring.
A grand gateway to the Riviera, Nice-Ville station is a glorious relic of the Belle Époque — completed in 1867 and designed by architect Louis Bouchot, who also left his mark on Parisian stations. Its ornate stone façades, crowned with sculpted swags and crests, hint at a time when travel was theatre and arrivals demanded applause. The glass canopy arches like a ribcage of iron lace, sheltering hurried commuters and dreamy departures alike.
Stand here long enough and you’ll feel it: echoes of steam trains, lovers waving hats, the rustle of linen suits bound for Cannes, and perhaps the ghost of Cocteau scribbling lines as the 11:07 to Monte Carlo glides in…

Véritable joyau de la Belle Époque, la gare de Nice-Ville fut achevée en 1867 sous la plume de l’architecte Louis Bouchot, également auteur de plusieurs gares parisiennes. Derrière ses arches majestueuses et ses façades ornées de guirlandes sculptées, elle incarne une époque où voyager relevait du spectacle. Sa verrière de fer et de verre, telle une cage thoracique élégante, abrite autant les départs précipités que les adieux romantiques.
Attendez sur ce quai, et vous entendrez presque les soupirs des locomotives, les adieux en gants blancs, et les vers de Cocteau s’envolant avec le train de 11h07 pour Monte-Carlo…

BB22307 stands at Nice Ville ready to work TER 17494 the 19:22 Nice Ville - Marseilles St Charles on 14th March 2025.
Today, 29th June 2025 is the last day of operation of the loco-hauled TER sets on this route before new private operator TransDev takes over the operation with new (and some temporarily hired in) EMU's.
This change brings an end to the vast majority of loco hauled trains on this scenic route.
