I wasn't aware of the deer (lower right) until after I examined the picture later. Low fog that morning with the rising sun.
Seventh Lake is located near Inlet, New York. It is part of the Fulton Chain Lakes in the Adirondacks.
This deer was on the path of my brother's infamous Jeep Trail. He owns approximately 100 acres of land that was part of the farm I grew up on. Most of the pastures have grown up now with trees and brush and he has cut trails through and around it all and he gives Jeep tours around to a few select people. Depending on your dare devil level this ride can be hair raising, climbing nearly vertical hills and coming down extremely steep inclines. But thankfully, for me anyway, the Grandbaby was with us so we took the less exciting route, probably to the disappointment of Anita! The trail(s) run through brush and forests and along Bigelow Creek where I spent many happy hours in my youth catching crayfish. The Grandbaby Loved this ride mostly because it was an open sided jeep and it had rained the night before, so overhanging branches would shower her making her squeal with delight! New memories on top of old ones are amazing.
