Hand-Held capture from the boat ..... not possible to use a tripod due to space constraints & mindful in not upsetting a paying crowd admiring the countdown fireworks display.

Just a visual feast of fireworks at blue hour. In reality, this is unlikely to happen at a blue hour...
Note: If you would've noticed, the jetty has a flaw. The alignment isn't straight. Not a technicality on my part. Something needs to be improved here. I would rather upgrade it to a nicer jetty to complement the trendy surroundings. Perhaps a circular Jetty encasing the Merlion would be more pleasing than the current straight one. Just my thought...
pp: Copy fireworks image and paste over the original blue hour pic on photoshop. From this new layer switch blending mode from "Normal" to "Exclusion". Presto! the blacks are gone leaving the fireworks intact . Add as many fireworks as you wish but avoid clutter. Have fun!

There is something truly calming about the way festive lights blur into soft, glowing orbs against the winter night sky. This shot captures that exact feeling of a quiet December evening—uncomplicated, cozy, and full of holiday magic. Whether you are counting down to Christmas or getting ready to ring in the New Year, these soft red and golden hues serve as a gentle reminder of the warmth that defines this time of year. Perfect for those who love the "bokeh" aesthetic and the peaceful side of the holiday rush

Wishing all my Flickr Friends a Happy New Year and a fantastic 2014!! Hoping all your dreams come true and not be forgotten.
The image is my "symmetrical bridge" shot of the Lowry Footbridge at Salford Quays - with motion blur added (radial blur). The titles were sort of inspired by the original 70s Superman Movie - and the font.. well don't ask - I just love LCDs :-)

I know.....I shouldn't have uploaded video.... but it's new year! :)
This was taken during the Hogmanay celebration at Edinburgh.
Hogmanay (pronounced [ˌhɔgməˈneː] — with the main stress on the last syllable) is the Scots word for the last day of the year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year (Gregorian calendar) in the Scottish manner. Its official date is 31 December (Auld Year's Night). However this is normally only the start of a celebration which lasts through the night until the morning of Ne'erday (1 January) or, in some cases, 2 January which is a Scottish Bank Holiday. Happy New Year everyone!
