I am very excited to announce an HDR Book entitled “A World in HDR”! It’s a 216-page book that should be everything you have been waiting for. The vast majority of the book contains select pieces from the portfolio along with extended descriptions, tips, and more information about how the photo was achieved. The second part of the book contains the HDR Tutorial along with a few bonus steps to help you get extra oomph in your creations!

In preparation for our move across the country, I've gathered up all my web books to put in boxes. I thought it would make for a good photo opportunity. Note: There are a few missing because they're still being loaned out to friends (you know who you are).

I saw these motorcyclist practicing their skills in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. A scenic place with the mountains and ocean on one side.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for visiting:)

Kuba came from Poland as a Magento partner, spoke at an e-commerce conference, and then visited A Space Apart to meet me and get his original first edition Polish translation of Designing With Web Standards signed. Snowdog is an e-commerce and mobile solutions company Kuba founded. He is a wonderful and talented guy, and I hope to meet up with him again.

The Video Edition comes with a "Bulletproof Essentials" DVD, shot here in the BitCave in Salem. Sort of a combination of Bulletproof Web Design and Handcrafted CSS.

I took this picture on July 4, 1996 near Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. In addition to being a talented musician and song writer, John was a 3D photographer. He smiled for me, as I snapped this shot with my Stereo Realist.

This little girl, age 9, is just learning to ride her bike and here on her second day she is already zipping thru the neighborhood like a pro.

Local mountain bike club Park County Pedalers partnered with the City of Cody and the BLM to construct this area of over 9 miles of single track available for mountain bike use and pedestrian use.

The trail system consists of different loops and flow trails that users of any experience level can enjoy. Recently, a new pump park was added to the site, which has become a popular local amenity.

I've always loved this LP cover, but then I'm biased because Monument Valley is also one of my favorite places. This is the band's 3rd album, CBS 65008, released in 1972 and whilst not being quite as strong as their previous albums does contain a few great country-rock tracks, "Sutter's Mill" and the title track to name two.

The Antibes Newrider 20km has been my first longboard race and it’s been very fun!

In just 1 hour of race I’ve learned so many things that I could never learn other way: but basically, I can go pumping on for ages but I will never be as fast as someone that just push. And pushing requires different muscles to make work… that’s so simple!

Lorenzo and Frank has been my mates in the race and Alex documented the whole trip with photos and videos (soon to be released!): I couldn’t really have a better crew, they’re just crazy!

It’s been great also to meet athlets like Alexandre and Giovanni who dedicated all their last years just to LDP and are worldwide recognized: cool people, they are an example for everybody.

Thanx to Antibes Longskate and Samule Moret for the event and for being so friendly!

The Bitcave was turned into a temporary video studio yesterday, for an upcoming DVD for New Riders (more on this soon).

From www.newrider.com/Library/Horse_Care/clipping_how_much.html

"There are two types, the high and the low trace. The coat is removed from the belly and the underside of the neck. Hair is left on the head, the topside of the neck, body and legs for warmth and protection. For a low trace only a small section of hair is removed from the belly and neck. A high trace takes more hair from these areas going further up the horse's flank."

"Create iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad Apps with Web Standards." by Kristofer Layon. From New Riders.

Can't wait to read this.

Handsome cover doesn't photograph nearly as good as it looks, and title is hard to read when photographed.

After hearing the news I dug around and sure enough, I still have my year 2000 first printing of Flash Web Design.
