Beautiful spring blossoms in bloom in the pathway called Legends Way in Newark New Jersey at the Essex County Courthouse taken a few years back when I was going weekly for Essex County grand jury service. The former 13th Avenue in Newark by the Essex County Justice Center starting by the Essex County Hall of Records had been transformed into a red brick promenade in 2008 later given the name Legends Way. There are bronze plaques giving recognition to people who made significant contributions to Essex County such as MLB Hall of Famers, Yogi Berra, Larry Dolby, Monte Irvin and others such as Pearl Beatty, Kenneth Gibson and several others. A beautiful oasis in the much maligned largest city in New Jersey that is making strides in improving its image. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america @apple @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales #iphone7 @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful @essexcountyofficial @newark.nj @newarknjblog @kehcamera @mpbcom

Delicate snow in Brookdale Park, Bloomfield New Jersey, something they really had not seen much of this year according to the news so obviously an older image that I did some final embellishing on. The older I get the more appreciative I am that my folks settled in the Northeast when they migrated from the Caribbean particularly because each year I marveled the beauty of the fact the area had four full seasons. Brookdale Park is 121 acre oasis which is part of the Essex County Park System, Essex County which is historically home to the America’s first park system. This park was designed by the famous Olmsted Brother Firm, yes of Central Park fame completed in 1937. This location was actually a meeting or gathering place for the Lenni Lanape Indians whose tribes gathered at the Indian Spring located near where the park’s rose garden is. My dogs and I and even my damsel accompanied me on walks in the park which I did for most of the 6 orbits around the sun I spent there. - [x] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america @apple @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales #iphone7 @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful @essexparks

Founding father Alexander Hamilton was strong proponent of the economic need of industrial production in the fledgling 13 states as that was prohibited by English law in order to thrive and gain financial independence. Hamilton was first president George Washington’s Treasury Secretary and he co-founded the “Society for Establishing Useful Manufactures” or S.U.M. which was run by private interests & manufacturers with government support. In 1792 that entity acquired 700 acres of land above and below the Great Falls of the Passaic River and established Paterson, named after Governor Paterson who was an ardent supporter of Hamilton’s plan and signer of the S.U.M. charter in 1791. Now a National Park, commemorating the birth of industry in early history of the United States. The falls are always magnificent to view and photograph and their cascades are always awesome to view. - [x] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto #microfourthirds @tiffencompany #omd #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @nationalparkservice @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful @patersongreatfalls #micro43photography
A few weeks ago while still in NJ attending to a few tasks for my Alex’s final affairs, I awoke stepped outside and thought I was back home down in the Bay Area dealing with thick Marine Layer the envelopes San Francisco and it’s surrounds instead of New York Harbor area. I was there however in Edgewater New Jersey across Grants Tomb National Monument in the upper confines of Manhattan and could not see a thing across the mile wide Hudson River, just a thick layer of fog. Took this image of a pedestrian on the fragmented NJ riverwalk. Portions of the George Washington Bridge faintly visible behind him in the middle of the day no less.

The Paterson Great Falls, a part of the United States National Parks, where a visionary Alexander Hamilton once stood and visualize a new nation that would be a producer not a consumer as British rule had basically forbidden any significant manufacturing in the original 13 colonies. Paterson was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution and now the vestiges of this history are being preserved by the National Park Service and the City of Paterson. I never tire of photographing this wonderful natural wonder that is in this very urban of settings. - [x] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @patersongreatfalls @nationalparkservice @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #omd #microfourthirds #micro43photography #newjerseyisntboring #newjerseyisbeautiful @passaiccountynj

The impressive and gorgeous Gothic architecture of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark New Jersey the seat of the Archdiocese of Newark is located immediately adjacent Newark’s Branch Brook Park just west of the downtown area. I went to school in Newark, at Rutgers University for the majority of my undergraduate studies, so always admired the immense stature and amazing architectural Gothic details of this truly remarkable house of worship. The sixth largest cathedral in the United States, largest church in New Jersey, its cornerstone was laid on June 11, 1899. The exterior was finished in 1919 but the complex and intricate work on its lovely interiors were not complete because of many delays until October of 1954.

Downtown Paterson NJ through a window at the Wonder Art Factory Studios/Artist Complex located in The Paterson Great Falls Historic District a couple of blocks from the Great Falls National Park. Housed in one of the many old silk mills that were prevalent during the turn of the Nineteenth Century, wonderfully repurposed to serve as a photographic and videographic studios, open space event space for weddings, quiceniera & bar mitzva and storefronts for artisans & artists. While back east a few weeks back I got to see some beautiful snowfall much to the chagrin of Mr Snuggles the family dog who remained in NJ to watch over my youngest. He’s never enjoyed walking in it and protestingly was walked on that brisk morning. On way to lab, I took the backroad it took me by Garret Mountain Reservation in Passaic County, specifically to the grounds of Lambert Castle which is partially visible in this very winters scene, the Lambert Castle Mansion & grounds undergoing renovations currently was unable to really park, so would stop car, get out fire a few frames then proceed. Eventually I was pushed out by Passaic County Sheriffs Cruiser as the county has its shooting range adjacent to Lambert Castle so my photographic meandering was blocking his way out. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @newjerseystateparks @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #newjerseyisntboring #newjerseyisbeautiful @passaiccountynj @lambertcastle @kehcamera
Taking a pause on posing my west coast damsel and I’s excursion to the Pacific Northwest as the photos are literally downloading from SD card to PC as I write this. Found this on my work in progress folder, from February 1st of 2021 when a nor’easter dumped almost 2 feet of snow back in New Jersey & New York, working the day before, day of the storm at my companies impressive mega-laboratory during the storm, when I drove precariously home only to discover the culdesac had not been plowed at all. Got the car unstuck, precariously drove back to lab where I parked the car in the dry parking deck. The walked home which was only a tad over a mile away, interesting walk to be sure. This was after the storm, loved the texture of the wood fence that surrounded the yard with the snow.

A beautiful structure built in 1907 designed by the famous architect Cass Gilbert who designed New York’s Woolworth Building and US Custom House and Washington DC’s Supreme Court building is the Newark Historic Courthouse located at that triangle at Market Street, Springfield Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in Newark New Jersey. I walked by this building each week during my term as a grand juror and used to walk by it while an undergraduate in Newark in the 1980’s when it was for the most part abandoned and need of TLC. The design, a Renaissance style marble clad structure is one of the loveliest in New Jersey for sure and another of the renowned architect Cass Gilbert’s masterpieces. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotoweek @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #iphone7 @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @apple @mpbcom @kehcamera @cityofnewarknj @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful

Taken from Secaucus New Jersey across the Hackensack River is the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford New Jersey which opened in late 2019. First envisioned and proposed in 1996, Xanadu as it was first know when it broke ground in 2004 with the Mills Corporation who won the bidding proposal with the NJSEA in 2003. Fast forward to 2006, Mills is under SEC scrutiny, Colony Capital takes over construction continues. Meanwhile in 2007 NJSEA breaks ground in the parking lot around Giants Stadium across Route 120 on a new stadium that today is MetLife Stadium. Stadium opened in 2009 Xanadu construction which was already on the highway signage on Route 3 was stalled. Four years passed in the interim in 2011 a few large snow storms in the northeast and a portion of the roof collapsed. Finally that year enter Triple Five Group, the Ghermezian Family who were the one behind Minnesota’s Mall of American made a bid to take over project. Court protests by the New York Giants and Jets football team the other tenants of the Meadowlands and boom the American Dream opens late 2019, 10 years after the stadium and 15 years in the making.

Taken on an afternoon jaunt to the Great Falls in Paterson three and half years ago, the graffiti strewn abandoned but protected interior of Paterson’s Hinchliffe Stadium before all the current projects to restore it began. The 10,000 seat horseshoe stadium opened in 1932 (reminiscent of the Polo Grounds where the New York Giants played prior to moving to San Francisco). In 1934 the steady Negro League games began being played in Hinchliffe Stadium. It was the home of the New York Black Yankees, the New York Cubans and at times the Newark Bears. One of the very few ball parks left where the Negro Leagues played, it was thanks to grass roots local Paterson efforts sponsored by my old congressman (before redistricting changed that) Bill Pascrell it was preserved by getting National Historic Landmark Status in 2013 two years after the Paterson Great Falls became a National Historic Park. Congressman Pascrell was not done, with great persistence he pushed legislation in December of 2014 to include the stadium in the Great Falls National Landmark district. Today the stadium is once again hosting baseball as it has been completely restored & renovated, using the old bones of the original, serving as the new home of the New Jersey Jackals for 2023 previously playing in Montclair at Yogi Berra Stadium. - [x] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #iphone7 @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @mpbcom @kehcamera @newjerseyisbeautiful @newjerseyisntboring @patersongreatfalls @apple
This is a dilapidated scoreboard that used to at the eastern end of the field at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson which thanks to New Jersey congressman Bill Pascrell from the district who kept pushing that Hinchliffe Stadium be included in the Great Falls National Park and thus protected. Many a developer had their eye on the property overlooking the Paterson Great Falls, but Representative Pascrell realized the historic significance of the stadium, which was a baseball field for the professional Negro Leagues and actually had auto racing amongst the many entertainment & sports that utilized Hinchliffe Stadium as their venue. Larry Doby, who was the first black professional in the American League played here following the great Jackie Robinson who was the first overall in MLB in the National League. When I was in Jersey attending to my son’s affairs when he passed away in an automobile accident in February, I visited the Great Falls and was pleasantly surprised when I saw restoration work being done on the field. I recently learned the the New Jersey Jackals, a minor league club that currently calls Yogi Berra Field in Montclair home will be moving to Hinchliffe as their new home field so baseball is coming back to the Great Falls District! - - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot @apple @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful @patersongreatfalls @nationalparkservice @seepassaiccounty #hinchliffestadium #patersongreatfalls
Every time I’m back east, when I’m fortunate enough to stay with my sweet youngest daughter, I venture over to the Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park to see how the collaboration between the National Park Service, the NJ county of the Passaic and the City of Paterson continues to restore and improve this truly remarkable historic industrial revolution district. This National Park Service sign shows a dusting of snow that fell when I was there, but the National Park Service has partnered with local partners and continue to improve the grounds of the park. Hinchliffe Stadium which was added to national park, was in the final stages of a wonderous renovation of the historical significant sports venue and I believe the New Jersey Jackals minor league baseball team will play its home games there moving from Yogi Berra field in Montclair. Paterson is clearing the industrial area adjacent to as a new park will be opened there, I saw the construction equipment in use. It has come a long way from the dilapidated conditions it was in14-15 years ago and I remember going prior to year 2000, and quickly leaving for fear of being jumped with my photo gear; you just didn’t feel safe. Much progress and totally worth a visit if you’re in the area. Changing views, as high rise projects continue to fill the island of Manhattan (Brooklyn & Queens as well) the evolving skyline of New York City is in some ways becoming less distinct. In this image taken from the border of the town I grew up in New Jersey, the aptly named West New York, where once upon a time not that long ago the Empire State Building was clearly the centerpiece of the skyline, today it obscured by a myriad of glass towers that continue to go up at an almost frenetic rate. Progress and change are part of the fabric of New York City, being a student of history I know that well, it’s just the pace with which the last 20 years post the tragic events of September 11th is so much more rapid than in my first 40 years on this Earth. With the accommodations for the affluent increasing housing for middle class workers is decreasing as the exodus post Pandemic continues. As painful and tragic 21st anniversary of September 11th comes, it is the first year that I find myself very far from my cherished New York City where for more than a decade I’ve made my way to the waterfront of Manhattan, Hoboken, Brooklyn, Manhattan itself and Jersey City where this image taken back in 2020 was taken specifically in Liberty State Park. Right after September 11th last year, I was in the throes of the monument move out to the West Coast to begin a new and wonderful chapter in my life with a truly kind, thoughtful, loving and giving partner that I’m so blessed and fortunate to have in my life. It has been a challenging first year away, as I lost my beloved son to a tragic automobile accident early this year of 2022 and still adjusting to being far away from my other children who remain. Many memories of that tragic day September day, sitting in a conference room in Teterboro NJ, with a clear view of the 2 towers, seeing the smoke billowing from the first hit. Never forget the events of 9-11, I know many of fellow photographers whom I also miss shooting with since my move out here, those in NYC Photographers and those who belong to our portfolio review alumni group will be out shooting the Tribute in Lights, as I’ve seen many images of the practice run posted on Instagram, may your images be powerful and wonderful as I know they will be and be safe. I will be with you all in spirit but as I said before, let us not forget the events of September 11, 2001, the lives lost, the soul of our great nation shaken that we cannot let our guard down must be every vigilant. - [ ] #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot @nybucketlist @nycurbanism @nycprimeshot @911memorial @libertystatepark @newjerseyisbeautiful @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseystateparks #september11

A statue of James J. Braddock in North Bergen NJ in the park that bears his name formerly known as North Hudson Park. I drove through the park enroute to my folks during my recent stay in NJ as this park is at the edge of the border of Hudson and Bergen counties as I was staying with my cousin who resides with his lovely family in Bergen County. The park has many wonderful memories, growing I used to run up from where I grew up, play football and tennis, many happy memories at our county park. Did not remember a statue of James Braddock it was put up in 2018 in celebration of the parks 100 anniversary, but it had been many years since I moved out of my childhood home in 1987. The famous ‘Cinderella Man’, James J. Braddock was the heavy weight boxing champion of the world from 1935 to 1937 winning the championship from Max Baer in a match held in Long Island City where Braddock was a 10 to 1 underdog. Son of Irish immigrant born on 48th Street in New York City in 1905, eventually his family including 4 brothers and 2 sisters eventually relocated to the quiet town of West New York in New Jersey across the Hudson River which is the same town where I grew up. After retiring from professional boxing in 1938 with a victory, Mr. Braddock enlisted in the Army to fight in WWII. Upon his return he worked many jobs including working on the construction of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge while raising his 3 children with his wife Mae in a house they bought in North Bergen where this park and statue are located. He would pass away in his sleep in the same home in 1974 a lifelong resident of Hudson County thus why he was honored with the renaming of the park to his name.

The view from Hamilton Park near the site where in 1804 Alexander Hamilton succumbed to injuries from the duel with Aaron Burr on this day. This view in Weehawken New Jersey of the iconic Empire State Building and its surrounds circa 2013. Much has evolved around the Empire State Building in the past 11 summers, many new tall structures such as Hudson Yards dominate much of the skyline down in the 34th Street area almost completely blocking the view of the Empire State from some perspectives. Day 23 image for American Cancer Society Photo a Day Challenge in October to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The interior of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Paterson NJ Great Falls district which the last time I checked was sadly shuttered close because of structural integrity of the large towers although it is a historical landmark that opened in 1929 to serve the large Italian population of Paterson.
I’m taking a photo a day in October to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer. This is a very meaningful cause to me as I am currently monitoring and battling cancer. The wonderful Hoboken NJ Erie Lackawanna Ferry-Rail Terminal built in 1907 only one of two ferry rail stations left on the Hudson River from a bygone era when they were prevalent on the New Jersey side opposite Manhattan before the Holland Tunnel changed the paradigm. It is the only station in service utilized by New Jersey Transit, PATH and New York Waterway today. The rich green patina of the oxidized copper much of which was destined for the Statue of Liberty, but the efficient French ended up not needing for their gift to the United States. The Ferries to New York markings clearly visibly on the decorative gable. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @mpbcom @kehcamera @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #newjerseyisbeautiful #omd #olympus #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography

One of New Jersey’s most picturesque and photographed locations is located in western New Jersey alongside the Raritan River in the town of Clinton is a grist mill referred to as the ‘Red Mill’. When Ralph Hunt built this mill in 1810 on land he received in inheritance from his father Daniel Hunt its original purpose was that of a wool processing plant. Unfortunately, foreign cloth was relatively low cost so eventually even though some of the surrounding farmers would get their wool manufactured, Hunt’s business dried up and the mill came to a grinding halt. It was around 1828 to 1834 that John Bray and John B. Taylor (the Taylor family had taken ownership of the property began production wool in the mill again. The new owner John W. Snyder stopped the wool processing altogether and converted the mill in to a grist mill. Before all production stopped, it was a graphite mill and finally a talc mill when all activity stopped. Today it is a museum and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Captured this image while with my west coast damsel, returning from a wonderous weekend in Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania. I particularly like the distorted reflection of the mill in water just before it cascades on the dam. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @visitclintonnj @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #newjerseyisntboring #newjerseyisbeautiful @visit_nj #omd #olympus #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography
What’s missing here down in New York City’s Financial District? All the World Trade Center buildings including the 1776 foot WTC 1. This image captured in 2010 has what at that time World Financial Center today known as Brookfield Place at sunset with the warm colors of the setting sun reflecting off the glass windows while directly behind (to the left) the active ‘ground zero’ construction site behind it. WTC 1 would not rise above street level until 2012, as the many many changes with NYC, New York State, Homeland Security, NYNJ Port Authority & Silverstein to the original plans including precise location, name continued well into the decade following the tragic events of September 11, 2001 before it was all settled and construction could commence. One of two B-29 Superfortress that are still flying today, the FIFI is preserved by the Commemorative Air Force based out of Dallas Texas though this particular Sunday it was at airshow at the Trenton Mercer Airport in New Jersey. The long line indicative of the popularity of the plane as one could climb aboard the marvelous vintage aircraft that was with its pressurized cabin the most sophisticated bomber in the world at the late stages of World War II. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @the_commemorative_airforce @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #omd #olympus #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography
New York City skyline at night, the Empire State Building the most prominent, to its right a few streets up on 42nd Street is One Vanderbilt and the simplistic 1,396 432 Park Avenue amongst which is itself part of Billionaires Row. Billionaires Row are a series of almost ridiculously high residential tower on Central Parks South end, mostly on 57th Street, obviously as the name suggests only affordable to the well to do billionaire crowd, most from outside the United States. I saw a saddening post on Instagram from someone walking on Fifth Avenue from Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village with an image of a new skyscraper that partially blocks the Empire State Building, her point was valid as it appears the building craze in New York is obstructing many of the landmarks, thus creating the paradigm of progress verses history. Will the classic, symbolic & historic Empire State Building be surrounded by taller plain towers one day? It already is, just ask the neighbors across the river in New Jersey, Hudson Yard limits the views and the amazing Chrysler Building on 42 Street’s view is now obstructed in many ways. A beautiful mosaic called the Spirit of Jazz which is located at the Newark Pennsylvania Train Station in Newark New Jersey that calls back to the 1920’s era when music and Jazz in particular was a major form of musical expression across the nation. New Jersey’s largest city Newark became a cultural hotspot for the genre from the 1920’s through the 1950’s. The radio station WBGO “Jazz 88” studios are located in downtown New York City area’s only Jazz station. The Spirit of Jazz was a creation of artist Melvin Wallace Clark originally from Detroit Michigan who later in life migrated to New York to study art and completed this Public Art Commission at the end of the twentieth century of his major artistic subject, images of Jazz & Blues that convey energy, color and movement. . iPhone 7 #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #iphone7 @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @apple @visitnewark @visit_nj @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #newjerseyisntboring #newjerseyisbeautiful @njtransit

The sculpture of ‘Seated Lincoln’ at the Essex County Courthouse is a statue of our nation’s 16 president that the artist Gutzon Borglum created in 1911 that depicted a worn & weary Abraham Lincoln his tall hat by his side during the darkest hours of the American Civil War. It was controversial at the time of dedication, but today because it rather public location, a lot of people sit next to 16th president for a picture or selfie. Borglum is more renowned for being the designer along with his son Lincoln of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial in the Black Hills of North Dakota. iPhone7 #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @visit_nj @newarkdowntowndistrict @newjerseyisntboring #newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #newjerseyisbeautiful @apple #iphone7

Almost perfect camouflage of a majestic blue heron on top of falls, in Clinton in Hunterdon County New Jersey where the Mulhockaway Creek converges with the South Branch of the Raritan River right by the Red Mill Museum, one of the most photographed locations in New Jersey. It was the mill I was photographing accompanied by my west coast damsel when I spotted the beautiful blue heron and put my longest lens on my OM-D EM-1 with a 2X convertor to capture this image. As opposed to the great white heron with is abundant in New Jersey as well, the blues and grays of the blue heron make it blend into its surroundings. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america#omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @newjerseyisntboring @newjerseyisbeautiful #omd #olympus #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography @visitclintonnj
A Journal Square bound PATH train arriving at the new Harrison PATH station in Harrison New Jersey. The PATH is the Port Authority Trans-Hudson corporation that part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey that runs the 3 major New York City Airports, Teterboro Airport and this commuter rail that connects Manhattan with some of New Jersey’s largest urban communities. In 2011 the original Harrison Station built in 1936 was replaced by modern station as the old station was outmoded and outdated.
