Booze, and plenty of it! "New Idea" Sept 1970

A very long walk and a couple of nasty blisters, but a great new area for photos ...

What Do I Use As a Light Source?

These two simple tools are a great starting point on getting your new ideas off the ground.

Next item needed: Paper.

Some casual photographs of a new piece, a crazy construction pushing the flagstone/waterbomb technique to the limits... or perhaps too far?

I love what it does to the paper.

This is a sheet of a new paper product from Cave Paper in Minneapolis, oddly enough called "origami paper"... made from premium abaca, flax, and some other goodies thrown in. all natural dyes. really fun to fold.

A way that girls 8 to 17 years old, and up, can easily slip a cool new patterned cover over their existing shoes. This new fashion statement allows a unique approach to showing your individuality, or sharing the same look with a group of friends. Also, being able to change the look of the shoes you have on, quickly and easily, while on the fly, from casual home, to school, to going out, or partying at events (imagine dancing with Justin Bieber, who's also wearing them, on stage!), etc., is another big plus! The inexpensive retail price of less than $8 a pair, and the protection of the shoe from dirt and rain, giving the shoe longer wear life, and buying less different shoe styles, will please parents as well.

Also, being able to change the look of the shoes you have on, quickly and easily, while on the fly, from casual home, to school, to going out, or participating in events (imagine going deep for a pass from Tom Brady, warming up for a big game with the New England Patriots!), etc., is another big plus! The ShoeWrapz will fit easily over almost every children’s, and young adult's, shoe, with the exception of only a few open styles. It is a super, new, and fun, way to instantly change the look of their shoes anywhere, and while on the go. Patterns are almost endless, and will be able to be designed on the website, and easily drawn on with washable markers for unique personalized looks. The very affordable target retail pricing of under $8.00 will make them attractive to parents, as well. ShoeWrapz will be marketed online, and will also be available through major retailers, including StrideRite, KidsFootlocker, Footsmart, Deckers, Zappo’s, and Skechers online.

We don’t have to live in China for this to be a problem. With potential employers/landlords/the state etc etc looking at not only our online profile, but also checking out who our friends are. It is clear that certain types of individuals are going to become (even more) #isolated online, as people consciously & understandably avoid being seen to be associated with them. It’s another form of #shadowbanning. How do we combat this? How do we prevent this? This tactical (added) isolation of those who don’t conform & obey, those who are confident enough to speak truth to power, & those who offer constructive new ideas that cause the people who profit from the old status quo to feel threatened and on the attack.

The ShowWrapz slips on and off the shoes, while wearing them, in seconds, and is durable. It can easily be carried in a pocket, or purse. This prototype, on an athletic shoe, has been walked and run with, on many surfaces, for more than 10 weeks, with almost no visible wear and tear!

A series of actual sketches by 6 girls nine to thirteen years old. As part of a small informal focus group, they were asked questions, shown prototypes, allowed to try on the ShoeWrapz, and then asked to draw what they’d like to see on the shoe covers. These are a few of their ideas. One of their favorite versions of the cover would be one which is all white, supplied with a set of washable markers, so they can create their own designs, and keep changing them!

But I cannot make love on sheets like that!

Questions about the ShoeWrapz shoe cover, posed to girls aged nine to thirteen, along with one participant's answers, in an informal focus group setting.

All answered "Yes", or "Most likely" to the #1 question as to whether they would wear the product!
