Looking out from the New Glarus Brewery shows some of the beauty of the "Driftless Zone". This area was not glaciated in the last Ice Age and there are steep hills and valleys that are fun to drive and beautiful to capture.
I like to take photos of our rental cars. This was our most recent one, a Honda Accord Sport. It was in a shade close to 'Battleship Grey' (perhaps lighter). Several of our friends we visited remarked that it was a good looking car in a nice color. It had a 4-cylinder engine, not a V6. In any case I could see why it's a great-selling car.
Taken from a gas station Labor Day while pumping gas-actually my wife was pumping the gas while I was taking the pic.I firmly believe in safety first....
On a side note,my friend and I participated in a local "yodeling" contest to get a free 6 pack of the local ale. They were also giving away free deep-fried cheese curds.Fortunately no pics or video was taken of the contest but it was a lot of embarrassing fun and I love the local beer from New Glarus, which is only sold in Wisconsin. The brewery's website:
What guys won't do for free beer and deep fried cheese curds....
Have a great sliders sunday everyone!
One of the Churches in the town of New Glarus. The town was founded by the Swiss and is quite proud of their chocolates and their cheese. Oh, and their Brewery....
We took the walking tour and got to the copper Brewing Kettles. Should have brought my speedlite, didn't. Had to use the on board flash but I still think the image came out alright.
A ton of flare fills this image of the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus, Wisconsin...
I wanted to catch the sky and the sun so I was prepared for the flare, but I didn't realize it would be this exaggerated until I started to process it. I really need to think about getting a different lens (DA15) in the near future to shoot stuff like this. Oh well... Happy Monday!
