Fishing boats on the water in front of the city of Dalian. Sao Xiao Ping Island is developing new industry and living on the Dalian coast by reclaiming land. The popular fishing and picnic spot will become a new development zone in the next year. 31/05/2008, Dalian, China.
After concentrating on the destoryed house with the still standing three chimneys, I strolled over to the clearing equipment that were filed inline. Each piece of equipment had a purpose to clear the land and I noticed these hydraulic arms were backlit by the setting sun.

Access was limited on the site, but I as able to view the scope of the whole project. I was located on the eastern side of the project which had little equipment to photograph. I saw this bulldozer and discovered a strength behind the coarse metal.
