Before the land was cleared for the Village at Chapel Hill, I visited some recently destoryed houses to inspect the damage. Upon the fallen walls and debris, I came across an interesting site that was ironic. Looking down I saw broken glass and leaves which tended to blend in with each other.
Upon my arrival at the site, the first scene I saw was this bulldozer atop the hill. It was kind of a haunting picture with these lone figures below an open sky.
The sun was driving toward the horizon as I stood atop of the freshly cleared where another distribution center was going to be built. During my walkaround I discovered this shoe that may have belonged to a child at one time. Among the dirt and machinery, it was odd finding a shoe in the absent of a forest.
