2025 didn’t feel like a chapter...
It felt like something we had to survive...
This was the year everything got laid bare... Distance... Timing... Mental health... Fear... Old wounds that didn’t stay buried. Nothing about it was gentle. But what remained was honest. What stayed was chosen, again and again, even when it would have been easier not to.
There were moments I didn’t feel strong. Moments where I questioned my footing, my worth, my ability to keep showing up the way love asks you to. And every time I started to drift, you grounded me. Not with promises. Not with spectacle. With presence. With steadiness. With a care that didn’t flinch when things got heavy.
You saw me when I was tired in my bones, not just my body. You let me rest without taking anything from me. You believed in me in the quiet spaces where I was still learning how to believe in myself again. That kind of faith changes the shape of a person.
This year taught me that love isn’t about never breaking. It’s about knowing exactly where the cracks are and choosing to protect each other anyway. We learned how to speak without cutting. How to listen without bracing. How to lie down together instead of pulling apart.
I won’t pretend 2026 will be easy. Growth never is. But it doesn’t scare me the way it used to. It feels closer...It feels like moving forward with our eyes open and our hands locked TOGETHER.
Another year of becoming better, together.
And still so much life left to live.
I love you.

With this being New Years Eve, I think that it is a great photograph to end the year with and symbolize the new beginnings, hope, and promise of a fresh start in the new year...

New beginnings require old things to end. So, goodbye to the 2015 holiday season and now into 2016 with a holiday type selfie of sorts.
Lovely pale pastel mauve and lavender colours in this crocus.
They represent Spring and new beginnings.
Taken late afternoon on Friday and here the new life is just starting to appear. Tried a selective colour on a light green using the art filter on the E-M1 to try to pick out the new leaves. Boughton Brake is found in North Nottinghamshire, near the Walesby Activity Centre
I alone became a homeowner today!
Yesterday was full of emotions, some of which i have shared some of which I haven't. The support I have recevied from so many of you has been incredible - more that I could have imagined. Its been such a great process for me to be able to share some of this with you because its allowed for me meeting and getting to know some beautiful souls. I look forward to meeting more of you.
So, next phase of my journey begins...I want to thank you again for your amazing support, your comments and emails and best wishes have lifted me up.

Sunrise out over Lake Michigan in Waukegan, Illinois. The walk to this point was slippery between the algae/slime and the intermittent icing, but the choice was to do a virtual ice skate or take the high road and try to dodge the occasional crashing wave.
