Cascade Falls Regional Park is a 22 hectare park located just northeast of Mission, in the Hatzic area. The park's main attraction is Cascade Falls, which drops an impressive 30 metres into a large emerald pool. From here, Cascade Creek runs into a series of smaller falls within a deeply incised gorge as it drops an additional 18 metres before emptying into the tranquil lower pools.

This location was considered a National Treasure before it was hopelessly abandoned and has now fallen into a true state of disrepair. In 2000, its doors shut forever and although in 2008 the Chamber of Commerce was able to make some roof repairs it has not been touched since. When I visited in 2013 there was no graffiti and very limited damage and the absolute beauty of the location blew me the hell away. Now abhorrent graffiti ruined the curtain of the stage and many of the other areas have been destroyed. It used to host weddings, banquets, shows, plays, etc. and now hosts nothing but decay. © 2013-Current.
