Every year, Sapporo has a small Christmas festival (modeled after the one in Munich, Germany) in Odori Park in central Sapporo. We had time yesterday when we visited Sapporo and enjoyed the sights and sounds (and odors, which were very nice and Christmas-y). This shop was selling nested dolls. I didn't know they were Christmas-related but there are many things I don't know.

I found this gorgeous bird nest in a tree next my home. Really like the few photos I take...So... I remember this flickr was so empty the last few months, and came here to leave these photos.

Polymer clay simple jewelry set. Textured and curved, left with its natural matte finish. However a drop of Magic glos in each nest gives it a special charm.

This is an original watercolor painting created by me. The title is "Nest". I think this is somewhat abstract and decidedly fantasy in style. I painted this with bold washes and then fine detail. I did not plan where this painting was going: I just let it take me where ever it wanted to go.

Além disso, conhecemos pessoas, trocamos experiências e discutimos métodos a serem aplicados posteriormente”.

Bolsa Chica Reserve, Ca.

I finally found this elusive hummingbird nest at Bolsa Chica today. It is along the lower trail. If you follow the lower trail from the bluff where the Heron nests are, you go down the trail almost to the far end where the trees get denser. Just before the end of the trail and the dense portion of trees you'll find a barren tree on the right (water side). It well be in a branch that is protruding closest to the trail. An easy marker is the hillside on the opposite side of the trail has no vegetation on it in that area.

Now that the leaves are mostly gone, the nests of some creatures have become more obvious. This one was built by bald faced hornets. I'm glad it isn't in my backyard!

I know it's sort of a faux pas to upload two pictures in one day to Flickr (lol), but I took this this afternoon and thought it was pretty sweet!

Just a nest of baby spiders on a plant in my garden... anyone hazard a guess at a species? ETA: Apparently they're garden spiderlings (Araneus diadematus).

A bottle of Kleveretien from Hobbybrouwerij Het Nest in Turnhout, Belgium, at Zythos Bier Festival 2013.

Het Nest Kleveretien is a 10% abv dark strong ale brewed by Het Nest at Scheldebrouwerij in Meer, Belgium, it had been recommended to me by a Leuven local the day before. The name Kleveretien means "Ten of Clubs" in Dutch and the beer was made to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the beer tasting club Orde van de zatte Mus ("Order of the Drunken Sparrow").

The beer poured a clear, red tinged brown color with a beige head. It had a rich dark aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel was medium to full bodied with a soft, creamy texture. Flavor followed up the aroma, with plenty of coffee and dark chocolate, but also some ripe or even dried fruits (raisins?). As it warmed up I also got some caramel notes. The beer finished sweet with lingering coffee notes.

Overall a very tasty and a bit "different" Belgian strong ale, thanks to the coffee and chocolate. An excellent ale!

Loving the design and technology in the nest thermostat.
