The nerves are calmed as finally 61306 and 35018 approach Birkett Common after a nervy wait for the ensembled gathering of photters, the train had stopped short of Kirkby Stephen station and with the sun dropping and shadows lengthening some feared the worst. Thankfully the duo only stopped for a few minutes and made a spirited departure enabling many SD cards to get a fair battering as the pair passed by in wonderful conditions.
This is another upload of yesterdays WCME crossing Greengates with the B1 and Bullied.

………..the story behind the photographer, the story that crosses space and time with the story of the protagonist of the image and which can arise a good "wildlife picture".
Yes, because there is one more story, there is also a story behind the photographer, and of course behind each and every one of the images that take the "wildlife photographers", a story that nobody remembers. Yes, there is a story, there is a story plenty of difficulties, a work story, a study story, a story of sacrifice, loneliness, devotion, risk, commitment, effort, dreams, planning, illusion, danger, fear, stumbles, exhaustion, adversity, perseverance, suffering, scares, patience, nerves, failure, dehydration, pain, diarrhea, cold very cold, hot very hot, itchy very itchy, sweat a lot of sweat, sleep a lot of sleep, discomfort, hunger, thirst, scratches, shocks, infections, falls, dizziness, stings, bites, wounds, vomits, loss, damage, resignation, despair, unpleasant surprises,….....and…....frustration, frustration......and for sure, some other things that many of my colleagues would say. And there are many times, often a lot, when things get ugly, in which you wonder; "but.......what need do I have to .........?.”
Well, all of this is more or less easily carried……………

Sí, porque hay una historia mas, también existe una historia detrás del fotógrafo, y en mayor o menor medida detrás de todas y cada una de las imágenes que realizamos los ‘fotógrafos de naturaleza’. Una historia de la que nadie se acuerda. Sí, hay una historia, una historia plagada de dificultades, una historia de trabajo, una historia de estudio, de sacrificio, de soledad, sueños, dedicación, riesgos, empeño, esfuerzo, planificación, ilusión, peligro, miedo, tropiezos, agotamiento, adversidad, perseverancia, sufrimiento, sustos, paciencia, nervios, fracasos, deshidratación, dolor, diarreas, frío mucho frío, calor mucho calor, picor mucho picor, sudor mucho sudor, sueño mucho sueño, malestar, hambre, sed, arañazos, golpes, infecciones, caídas, mareo, picaduras, mordeduras, heridas, vómitos, extravíos, averías, resignación, desesperación, sorpresas desagradables,…...y……….frustración, frustración.…. y seguro algunas otras cosas que aportarían muchos de mis colegas. Existen muchas ocasiones, muchas, cuando las cosas se ponen feas, en las que te preguntas; “pero………… ¿qué necesidad tengo yo……..?”.
Bueno, al final todo eso se sobrelleva más o menos bien.………………

We've moved! After several weeks of nerves and packing and last-minute demands by our lender and the usual house-buying hiccups, we finally moved this weekend. We're slowly settling in. I've never been so tired in my life.
We're finally moved-in enough that I have organized my camera gear and got a chance to grab a photo this morning. These (non-working) spigots are on the side porch of the house. I realized this morning that they probably are remnants of a time when people had their old-timey clothes washing contraptions out on the porch; our house was built in 1922, so the time-frame is about right for that.
There are lots of neat features all over the house, and I think some good photo opportunities in the yard. I've started putting on my photo-eyes as I've gotten more and more unpacked and started mentally inhabiting the house. I think I'm going to try to return to taking a photo a day. Maybe I'll pick up the 366 project again, and just do it for an extra month or so come the new year. I'm so happy to be in my beautiful new-old house, and happy that it's looking like I'll have time to take pictures regularly really soon. I can't wait to catch up with everybody, too!

I simply had to make this video to tell my side of the story.
Nick Page totally lied about the Netflix deal, Thomas Heaton refuses to ever work with me again. Adam Gibbs rejects all offers from big media to make Season 2 because of his hypocritical 'principals' and then accuses Nick of using AI editing in his photography.
That's it, we're done. You'd think that producing the most ambitious landscape photography course of all time would bring us closer together, but no.
When asked about where the money went from Season 1, Thomas Heaton becomes evasive and immediately changes the subject. Nick Page gets caught harassing a Netflix executive over the phone while trying to pass it off as his ''Uncle''. A restraining order ensues.
The lesson to be learned here is that you should NEVER attend a Christmas party with co-workers that get on each other's nerves.
Don't even bother to watch the videos on the other guy's channels, you'll only find the truth right here in THIS video.

These rocks at the Davenport beach have been shaped by thousands, if not millions, of years of waves. Very slick to get on and only visible under low tide.
I missed an opportunity to capture this composition with the sun in near the horizon. Maybe next time.

I sit here this morning... coffee in hand, butterflies in my tummy and my nerves on the ready...but I know as soon as I see Him... and feel His eyes upon me... I will be safe... I will be home.
Today the love of my heart and soul is taking me as His wife, His life...and my mind is filled with such excitement... I adore Him so, with a love that is only meant for Him...
I feel the warmth of my Mother, the pride of my Father and the love from my friends this day... This photo I took as I slowly walked the grounds, the calm before the storm so to speak.. Celtic notes playing softly in the background... I can not wait...Today is finally here!
