For my robot classes I wanted something more kid friendly so I removed the airsoft gun and replaced it with a nerf gun. This nerf gun shoots foam balls using a spinning wheel to launch them. The wheel is normally spun by a pull handle but i replaced that with an electric motor from a r/c monster truck

Preview Picture of my new steam punk nerf gun. Taken on a shitty camera phone. this is unfinished, hopefully Ill have more photos tomorrow
This Gun is being built specifically to sell, its gonna be tricked out with lots of coolness. Tonight I need to find my woodburner!
Made by my friend's incredibly clever husband. It's a drill holster from the dollar store, modified by adding a panel in the side and removing the bottom to accommodate the Nerf Maverick. The strap across the top was lengthened and more cool rivets were added.
I LOVE IT!!!
Just like the kids in the commercial, I got this gun and i exclaimed "AWESOME!" and then blasted through a wall made of weird plastic bricks while playing with a friend in a neon corridor filled with smoke.
Not suitable kids under 13.
This shot is for the Photo Challenge #277 ARMS (2009challenge277). My nephew for these Nerf Laser Tag guns for his birthday.
While this is a horribly blurry photo, it's still good to see a group of adult men standing around, staring at a gigantic NERF gun. You know they all want one.
This is the Nerf N-Strike Longshot CS-6. Three feet of high powered long range foam dart fury. After seeing it on TV I knew I had to have this baby. Lucky for me it went on sale at the start of the month and I managed to grab the last battered box before they sold out.
It uses a bolt-action system to reload and cock the gun at the same time. There is a surprising amount of kick in this baby; enough to launch a dart 35 feet. Of course you have to compensate for the arc of the dart but the scope seems to help with that. Loading the ammo clip up with darts is a bit surreal yet totally awesome at the same time!
I have a feeling I can fire Tootsie Rolls or Rockets/Smarties from it, but have yet to test that theory. If it works, I'd have an awesome way to hand out candy next Halloween!
Just last night and this morning, I finished modding my nerf maverick. I need it to compete with the Nerf Vulcan I got my nephew for his birthday tomorrow.
Other than painting it, I did the 2 standard mods of removed the air restrictors and unlocking the barrel so it comes out all the way.
