I'm actually kinda surprised I never built an official 'Borg Cube' - I've done a Greeble World but always wanted to take on the greeblist of builds.

Still not as big as I wanted to be, but one thing I really wanted to try to accomplish with this build was the proper 'layering' that's in the cube with the glow underneath.

It's about 2 bricks tall of 'greeble' to achieve the layers.

I’ve enjoyed Bricknerd‘s content for years, so was super excited to see its reboot and had to participate in the Nerdly Strikes Back contest.

John pointed out that glasses could look cute on the penguin design I did as a Christmas bauble, and to keep him from being lonely I added a new owl friend.

My entry for the Nerdly Strikes Back contest over on Bricknerd. This build certainly highlighted to me that I need to seriously work on my brick-built animal skills! But despite not being entirely pleased with the execution, I liked the idea too much not to post it – hopefully you all find it enjoyable as well :D.

This is a short, one day build as my entry for the #Nerdlystrikesback, where I have recreated the iconic ending scene of Planet of the Apes in microscale, as the glasses as the Statue of Liberty. In this contest, you build a ‘Nerdly’, which is a model, any shape, any size that has BrickNerd’s recognisable taped glasses perched on them.

Banthas make great fodder for a Nerdly contest.

Just a little build to help promote that BrickNerd is plugged back in, and we are throwing a "Nerdly Strikes Back" contest to celebrate. I can't win the prizes, but you sure can. Additional info in the contest announcement on BrickNerd

"You're going to a very dangerous place, so be careful. The thing that slumbers there, it is not human." It is a NERDLY! He eats children made out of children's toys and he is not particularly fond of fairies, so beware!

Me and my girlfriend (upgraded to wife since then) watched the Pan's labyrinth in the cinema because a friend told us it was a splendid fantasy movie. If you've seen it then you know that we were in for a treat as we did not expect any of the things we then saw...

What better way to celebrate the return of BrickNerd and Nerdly than with the iconic catch phrase...

Gelatinous Nerdly - consuming all brick adventurers in it's path!
