A great walk in a fantastic wind across the wet strand of Grenitote. These great shapes took my eye, and Neptune's net by M Ward sounds perfect

The seaweed in this rockpool, Hormosira, is commonly known as Neptune's necklace, Neptune's pearls, sea grapes, or bubbleweed. It is native to Australia and New Zealand. It is everywhere on our stretch of coast. Apparently it outcompetes other algal species due to its high tolerance to desiccation.
It kind of reminds me of the red weed in War of the Worlds. Except it isn't red. And it isn't Martian. And it isn't fertilised with human blood. It is weed though!

Entrance to the electrical room of the 1913-1928 Amsterdam Scheepvaarthuis (Shipping House).
The Shipping House is one of the top 100 Dutch heritage sites and generally regarded as the first true example of the Amsterdam School, a style characterised by "expressive dynamism, lavish ornamentation and colourful embellishments". Originally, it was the headquarters of six leading Amsterdam shipping companies. It is now in use as a hotel.

Shot down in La Jolla San Diego, this is what is known as "Neptune Eye" An interesting natural depression in the reef. :)

Neptune has a moon Hippocamp which is seen in the foreground is only 20 miles across and may actually be a broken-off fragment from a much larger neighboring moon. The moon Proteus can be seen as a crescent in the background. This is the first evidence for a moon being an offshoot from a comet collision with a much larger parent body.
The outdoor swimming pool at Hearst Castle is surrounded by ancient Roman revival and Greek revival style pavilions and colonnades, as well as the façade of an ancient Roman temple that William Randolph Hearst purchased in Europe.
