A Song Sparrow on the Shirleys Bay Trail in Nepean (Ottawa), Ontario, Canada.

It was my first time in over 10 years since I last walked this trail. I expected to see more wildlife, but only spotted this Song Sparrow.

Early morning over the Nepean River.

Just the hint of the colour that was to come. Perfectly still and just a hint of mist on the surface of the water.

Nepean Creek Park, Ottawa, Canada.

Nepean Point is a hill in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, overlooking the Ottawa River, Parliament, the Canadian Museum of History, and other features of downtown Ottawa and Gatineau. It is located between the National Gallery of Canada and Alexandra Bridge.

The statue of Samuel de Champlain was erected in 1915 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Champlain’s second journey up the Ottawa River.

Point Nepean National Park is set aside to protect its natural features and make its interesting and historic walks accessible. This is a narrow part of the end of the Mornington Peninsula with Port Phillip Bay to the right and Bass Strait left. Obviously a great afternoon for walking.
