Jackson Hole Diner, formerly the Airline Diner on Astoria Blvd. In it's hay day when the PanAm Clippers ruled the skys the Marine Air Terminal was NYC only passenger port. This was a key stop on way into the city.
Now one of the best burger joint's on NYC. Thanks JH for preserving a Icon of Neon, Diners, as well as Aviation history

This time I got the artwork and the name of the artist. You can see it at the lower right, under the chair.
I was attempting to get video shots of the neon art, but too many people were seated close by at three or four tables, and none of them were masked. So I kept my distance to grab this shot and a couple of others. I'll have to try to get video again another time.
Making yet another trip over to the Americana (it's like a backlot to me, that and my personal Monument Valley). I crossed the street at Brand and Caruso so I could get a better look at the Museum of Neon Art. I don't often take the time to see it in bright daylight. This was taken at nearly quarter to five, so the sun was setting. But, as you can see, it was bright enough outside where we couldn't see much of the red neon light, other than the original source itself. It was actually the clouds that prompted me to grab this shot. It gave the background a more dramatic look.
