A little blast from the past - I'm still scanning negatives from some of my old archives, and this was taken out of a hotel room (Victoria Hotel) in Cairo in July 1992.
A building site opposite that fascinated me by the lack of equipment, manual labour and very little if any H & S!
I can't imagine why these buildings don't withstand certain natural disasters!

I struggled to get colours I was happy with using Negative Lab Pro for this roll. It usually works very well, but this roll was having none of it, hence the monochrome conversion for some of the frames.

The meter on an M5 is a spot meter and in some situations it really excels, but then at other times I find it more challenging.

Morning Coffee
Every year, the little Wairarapa town of Greytown hold a mid winter Christmas festival with lots of activities going on as well as shops etc decorating their premises. I had a brief visit there and took a few film shots early in the morning.

First time I've used this camera and I relied on its 60 year old CDS light meter - seemed to work reasonably well, but overall the shots tended to be a little under exposed I thought so will try another test roll and use an external meter and compare results.

The Norwegian Forest cat is a breed of domestic cat originating in Northern Europe. This natural breed is adapted to a very cold climate, with a top coat of long, glossy, water-shedding hair and a woolly undercoat for insulation. The breed's ancestors may have been a landrace of short-haired cats brought to Norway about A.D. 1000 by the Vikings, who may also have brought with them long-haired cats, like those ancestral to the modern Siberian and Turkish Angora.
