Manchester music legends Oasis have completed their series of concerts in Heaton Park.
The five events passed without any major incidents or trouble as a total of more than 300,000 fans flocked to Heaton Park to witness the band’s massive return to Manchester.
We’ve worked with the event organisers and partners from Manchester City Council and Bury Council to ensure the areas in and around Heaton Park have been safely managed with minimal disruption for the public.
Assistant Chief Constable Matt Boyle, lead police commander for the Oasis events, said: “These concerts have been months in the making for us and our partners to ensure that hundreds of thousands of fans who have come to Manchester can safely enjoy these iconic homecoming shows.
“We’ve now seen all five Oasis events pass without any major issues and I’m pleased that the overwhelming majority of people attending have enjoyed themselves and behaved sensibly and responsibly.
“Our officers have continued to provide a high-visibility presence throughout; assisting our partners and event security in ensuring a smooth flow of operations, before, during, and after the concerts whilst being on-hand to deal with any concerns from members of the public.
“Where we have had to do so, we have acted in seizing unauthorised drones, arresting those attempting to illegally enter the event, coordinating road closures and working with colleagues in the ambulance service to help those in need of medical attention.
“We’ve assisted local authorities and the event organisers with their plans throughout. This includes supporting security staff who play a key role. I want to thank them all and the partners who have done a fine job in making this a memorable experience for all.
“This has been a huge event with 300,000 fans coming to Heaton Park and many others visiting Manchester to experience the atmosphere. I’d like to thank the public for their cooperation and patience as we maintained a safe and steady flow of people entering and leaving the event with minimal disruption over the last few weeks.”

Volunteers are needed! We can certainly use volunteers of all ages and ability to help us cleanup our community, the environment and the Chesapeake Bay! Please mark your calendars for our cleanup of the Historic Bread and Cheese Creek on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine, we clean up the section of Historic Bread and Cheese Creek from the Berkshire Area to North Point Road. Registration will be at 2408 Plainfield Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. This event will be run in conjunction with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Annual Project Clean Stream and American River’s Nation River Cleanup as well as Reclaim the Bay! We have also attached an event flyer for your use.
We run our cleanups as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We welcome every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we need people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to help at registration, setup food and snacks as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. We will provide lunch and snacks as well as gloves. A limited number of tools are available for sign-out, but suggest bringing your own if you have them
Volunteers are also needed to arrive early and stay late for setup and break down. Photographers and Videographers also needed!

Al-Jarab area of al-Mansouriah December 31, 2016
In a 4-day food aid distribution, Mona Relief's ground crew delivered urgent food aid packages to 500 vulnerable families in Bait al-Fakeh, al-Mansouriah, al-Durehimi and al-Hawak districts of Hodeidah governorate in western Yemen.
The fifth phase just has started today and continued for four days, based on a donation came from the UK based Charity, al-Khair Foundation and aims to reach out the most needy families in the poorest governorate in the country, Hodeidah, where there is widespread starvation among the population.
And for that reason and as a quick response from Mona Relief Yemen to calls to help people in that area, after shocking images of malnourished mothers and their children published in media outlets the Mona Relief delivered to 200 families in al-Tuhita area in Hodeidah governorate and urgently needed basic supplies.
Our campaign in Hodeidah started in September 2016 and continued to January 2017, where Mona Relief was able to reach out 5000 families in several remote areas.
Our food aid distribution today carried out by Mona Relief Yemen in al-Maselah area of Hosseniah in Bait al-Fakeh district where our ground crew reached out 150 families.

In the second day of food aid distribution, Mona Relief delivered 150 families in al-Jarab area of al-Mansouriah before starting our distribution our ground crew was intercepted by local authorities who asked us to not to distribute anything before getting a permission form the authorities to be able to deliver food aid. And a long negotiation with them they asked to accompany our crew during the distribution we accepted that and we were able to deliver the aid to families there, who finally praising our work.
As we reached that area, I didn’t expect that I'm going to see people living under under the poverty line

In the third day, we drove to Bani Mansour area in al-Durehimi district where we delivered 100 families their food aid packages and finally for the fourth day, Mona Relief concluded its fifth phase of the campaign that started in September 25, 2016.

We reached out in the fourth day another 100 families in al-Hawak district in the center of Hodeidah in western Yemen.
Our campaign in Hodeidah wasn't easy at all, we were arrested and stopped there many times and we have faced several challenges during our humanitarian work lasted from September 2016 to January 2017.
Mona Relief took pictures during our work that showing the real suffer of people living in Hodeidah.

Our half-day event is open to everyone and there is no fee for admission. The forum includes workshops that provide practical information to help resolve care-receiver issues. Representatives from human service organizations are in attendance with informational handouts on such timely issues as utility assistance, food stamps, health care, transportation options, homelessness, domestic violence, legal matters, and loss of job. All participants receive a People in Need Community Resource Directory and a complimentary flash drive with all materials presented at the conference.

29-30 Nov 2022, Alexandria - More than two long years, FAO Egypt team suffered from coping with the COVID-19 pandemic and staff struggles to cope with the new teleworking mechanism, not mingling together as they used to and not being able to balance their work time and personal life. Hence, FAO Egypt team members definitely need a break to boost overall productivity – a “Staff Retreat”!
The off-office-site retreat will serve as a refresher for FAO Egypt team. Holding the retreat in a set-up different from that of the office is essential so that staff feel free to break the routine and engage informally and spontaneously which promotes team-building and bonding.
The retreat is also an ideal opportunity to effectively discuss burning team/work related issues in a relaxed environment. This being said, the programme of FAO Egypt’s Staff Retreat will tackle key work related issues in an interesting manner and at the same time introduce energizer and team building games to strengthen bonding between staff members.
