NGC 2070 ( Tarantula Nebula ) with Chile Two telescope of the Slooh network and processing with Siril and Photoshop.La Tarantula Nebula (also known as 30 Doradus or by the catalog abbreviations NGC 2070 and C 103) is a very large H II region located in the Large Magellanic Cloud. It is the largest known star-forming region in the Local Group of galaxies. This nebula, of eighth apparent magnitude, is observed in the north-eastern area of the Cloud, and is visible mainly from the southern hemisphere, where it is circumpolar in all the southern regions located outside the tropical zone; from the northern hemisphere, by contrast, the nebula is visible only south of the Tropic of Cancer.

Impossible to observe with the naked eye, it can be identified without difficulty through a simple binoculars, presenting itself as a roundish spot with very blurred edges; Its luminous ramifications appear instead with an amateur telescope, which also allows to detect some thickening of stars and open clusters.
