Another from my trip to the fields this morning. I knew a fishing pond nearby, so I went there and saw a nice fog over the water.
I used the 6 stops ND~filter and my polariser to get the smooth water effect.

This stunningly beautiful small waterfall lies just a short distance off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Looking Glass Overlook.

Castelejo, stormy day, sea maits, ideal for photos. Ten stop neutral density filter to give the soft water - turning day into night in effect. And no, no heavy post processing, curves, levels and that's it.
My first shots using a Variable ND Filter. Any advice would be appreciated; especially about calculating the shutter speed!
I know I need a tripod as rocks aren't the best.
Trwyn Du Lighthouse is a lighthouse between Black Point near Penmon and Ynys Seriol, or Puffin Island, at the eastern extremity of Anglesey, marking the passage between the two islands.
We got there for sunrise and although there wasn't any exciting cloud detail, there was a beautiful show of colour.

A well travelled but still impressive-looking VDL Bova Magiq taking a break at Weatherby Services on the M1.
When I took the photograph the 'cherished' plate rang a bell. On checking, my hunch was confirmed, as TPX 884 at one time adorned a Charterplan coach based at the former North Western Road Car depot on Charles Street, Stockport, only a few miles from home!

Yesterday I got my very first ND filter, which had to be tested today.
So I went to the Danube, looking for great spots to take long exposure photographs. First note: think about the spots before you start, or you'll be wandering about with your gear, just like me today.
I have a couple of different ones; however I had to stop my tour, because it started to rain (yay). But since it was my first time out with a ND filter, the pictures are far from perfect. Still, I liked this one. As soon as I'm through post-processing the other ones (they all have this reddish tone), I will post more...
