this was my favorite on the roll, and possibly one of my favorite photos I've taken, to be honest
(I wish it looked better here though, because it looks nicer in the print version)

Norfolk Southern's Second District ain't no joke. Here, NBD 276-01 hits the multiple mains near Hustonville, KY for a rollercoaster ride down to Green River South Road. Would any NS/SOU aficionados know why only 1 approach signal to the plant at South Fork? I didn't notice any signals on the adjacent main, usually they'd be right next to one another.
Northbound CN B791 barrels down Main #1 with empty Potash on CN's Waukesha Subdivision, past a fine little open spot in the woods near Grayslake, Illinois. The smoky skies make for a less than clear, yet bright-looking cloudless afternoon.
Almost to the high bridge, NBD Q504-15 splits a pair of B&O position light signals, on their way to Queensgate in Cincinnati.
Some of my current work-in-progress models, I really should get around to finishing some of these...
From left to right (oldest to newest):
CIWL dining car, intended to expand my NBDS mailtrain consist. The digital model is basically done, I just need to get around to ordering the parts and building it. I started on this one all the way back in 2022.
NS/SBB TEE trainset. I built a model of this train before, but decided the model needed an upgrade. What started as a few minor changes turned into a complete rebuilt that I'm still working on. The shaping of the engine unit is done, and all the internal structure for the nose section is ready too. The rest of the internal structure is still missing, and the coaches still need some work on the exterior too. This one was started late 2023/early 2024.
DB V200. This model is basically just a shell at this point, but all the major shapes are in place and I'm supper happy with how it's looking so far. None of the internal structure is there yet, and it's still missing details on the roof and on the bogies. I started working on it about a year ago.
NS 1700. This latest model is heavily inspired by the awesome work of raised (www.flickr.com/photos/raised), Ervvin (www.flickr.com/photos/epjl) & many others involved in the original Nez Casse project. Particularly the nose section is basically a 1:1 copy of their original model. This model is also just a shell at the moment, with nothing on the inside to hold it together yet. It also has no wheels, and it's still missing some stuff on the roof. This is a fairly recent project, I only started playing around with it in October of this year.
NBD CN train L51791 brings a cavalcade of power along The Stevenson Expy just west of Cermak. It was another one of those "walk out of work and there he is" moments. Now I've seen it all!
NBD CN Q11991 nears County B at Hamilton, WI under care of another newer Tier 4, as we made our way on the road to YUHASAPALOOZA 2016.
