Prior to this crossing I hadn't traversed Crib Goch for a number of years. The crux of the ridge is a pretty sharp series of pinnacles and as I was due to take a party up Snowdon the following day so I thought I should remind myself of the terrain and decide whether or not to use this route. The stretch seen here looks pretty harmless, but further along in the clouds there are a good few "naughty bits". My decision was made, it wasn't the route to use with my six former work colleagues.
This view was taken from just beyond Garnedd Ugain and looks along the ridge to the start of the Crib Goch traverse. Much lower down Llyn Llydaw can be seen. It wouldn't be possible on this day so the day afterwards I would take a swim in that lake.

I just learned about this statue from a new friend I met tonight. Seeing it in her profile, I just had to check it out for myself. It's called "The Man" and has been around since 2002, which is back in alpha testing days. The info card with a jug of sake holding it in place states the following:
"The Man" statue is one of the only surviving objects from the original "Linden Town" area that was developed in Second Life
during the earliest Alpha stage of its development. At times The Man has served as a shrine where miscellaneous offerings were left, and a celebration of the creativity SL was founded upon.
