A weasel is a mammal of the genus Mustela of the family Mustelidae. The genus Mustela includes the least weasels, polecats, stoats, ferrets and mink. Members of this genus are small, active predators, with long and slender bodies and short legs. The family Mustelidae, or mustelids, (which also includes badgers, otters, and wolverines) is often referred to as the "weasel family". In the UK, the term "weasel" usually refers to the smallest species, the least weasel

Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens, every day can end beautifully.

This is one of several images taken in my garden this afternoon, having had the idea to try out some macro and abstract photography - well, if we have to stay at home, then the home and garden becomes the new landscape, wildlife and nature hub. I found that by really taking the time to look, it made me think and explore things that I usually take for granted. The bright sunshine helped to bring out the vivid colours and emphasise amazing textures. Canon 6D, Canon 100mm macro f2.8 IS USM

The Amb Temples, locally known as Amb Sharif, are part of an abandoned Hindu temple complex on the Sakesar mountain, located at the western edge of the Salt Range in Pakistan's Punjab province. The temple complex was built in the 7th to 9th centuries CE during the reign of the Hindu Shahi empire.

The last autumn leaves with their characteristic yellows, reds, browns, maroons, purples, blacks, whites, dark greens, light greens, rose through the air to the rhythm of a Chopin symphony.

Preserved Strathclyde LA1204 (XUS 575S), along with two other Glasgow Atlanteans, on one of the tours at this weekend's brilliant GVVT open weekend event. We got to the outer Sandyhills terminus of route 61 - still in use today by First Glasgow - and pandemonium broke out, as three busloads of spotters all desperately milled around trying to get that perfect shot - your photographer included, of course.

In all the good-natured hub-bub, a young mother with two small children got on LA1204, thinking it was the actual service bus. Once told that this was in fact a private service, she and little 'uns alighted (having obtained a few souvenir tickets for the kiddies) and took their place back in the bus shelter. In fact, numerous people tried flagging down all three buses en route, all to no avail, of course.
