On a dare, he attempted to grab the sign and take it back to his gang........ OR, I just never know what the day will bring.
Oh today was a hard one to take the photo of the day. It poured rain all afternoon, when I usually take the pictures. I even took my camera well protected under my coat on my afternoon walk with Kobe, but it was impossible to even consider taking the camera out.
So instead I brought these flowers with me. I love them... They fall from a tree, imagine that! They look like Hydrangeas but are quite different!

“Against the Tide: Many Waters; Many Years; All Love." [IG REMIX 8/15] (Westport, Connecticut, USA; 10/07.)
As students we came here to learn in large groups, digging in the sand and climbing on rocks, our parents with us, class trips, pack lunches and yellow school buses. years later we returned to enjoy the sunset, in our own cars, smoking cigarettes, walking in the surf, making our waves and wandering idly, golden lights on the water, carrying out butts off the beach,bundled up in hoodies and blankets against the dusk. I would bring my students here in turn, and then never teach again. We would revisit this place years later, together. I would move a short drive from here from a life time away and walk these and other shores in rain and sun and snow, most often unaccompanied. All of life was distant, yet I was never alone. The tides had me carried me here, again and again, and the waters carried you to me, and me to you and each of us to one another, All of us, together, and it was never ever enough but it was more than I could hold or ever imagine or want, and it was some kind of beginning and end here where the earth turned to dust and gravel and sand, and where the water met the sky and day turned into dusk and into the night and the past and into the present all came together. it was a freedom, to never have to let it go and for it come crashing back. To be held by the wind, and the cold, and the stars and to learn again, to live, and go and return, always return. With love.
