If I've identified this insect correctly, this guy started life in the eggsac of a spider and ate his way into the world, spun a cocoon and came out looking like this!

Ice meadows, Hudson River, Nature Conservancy, Warrensburg, Warren County, NY, October 2020

Looking across the Columbia River to Washington, from Rowena Plateau. The little town over there is Lyle. The cut through the hills is where the Klickitat River flows. My sister and I drove up that way recently, and it's REALLY beautiful.

I met these two ladies in the Camassia Natural Area. One of them, Gail, was wearing a camas colored dress and had visited the park three times this week! We talked about Mt St. Helens exploding and working on our tans and osprey and Bhutan. They were a lovely part of my time at the Camassia Natural Area. I felt lucky to be here on a Friday with almost no one else here.

Ramsey Canyon Deer, Arizona

This irresistible skyscape tantalized the souls of those on the right side of the plane. I, of course, had my camera at hand.

Yellow Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia flava) was the largest of the three species of pitcher plants that I photographed at the Green Swamp near Wilmington, North Carolina.

Instead of heading west to the Rockies, we decided to check out Horseshoe Canyon Conservancy area for a little hike. Descending into the canyon, we did a tiny bit of elevation, and the landforms were wonderful. Recommended for an interesting short walk.
