Sin lugar a dudas el lugar más bestia de Euskadi y alrededores es este del cañón de Delika desde donde se puede ver cómo te viene encima el salto del Nervión, al que no le hace falta presentación. Madrugamos @jorgereyazabal , @rafadiez78 y yo mismo para intentar pillar color en el cielo, pero la previsión se retrasó y nos llevamos los picos teñidos del color del sol. Cuando llegamos hasta allí me llevé una grata sorpresa al encontrarme con @jesusrsrc . Otro tan loco como nosotros

Así te sientes y se ve el mundo desde allí arriba. El cordal de los montes de Valnera con el Castro como techo y emblema se divisa al fondo y se disfruta desde las alturas. Primera foto editada de las varias salidas que hice junto a @mardonss y @alberto.lopez.7355079 estos pasados días de fiesta. Con ellos da gusto salir de excursión 😊

En cuanto a la foto es una panorámica hecha a 25mm para que los montes del fondo tuvieran algo más de presencia y de más de 100 fotos bracketing incluido.

Destacar un par de cosas:

1. Tuve que repasar uno de los valiosísimos video tutoriales sobre el manejo de ptgui de los muchos que tiene @ivanferrerofotografia para colocarme en la foto con una facilidad pasmosa. Gracias Ivan!! Su canal de YouTube y discord son una maravilla. Súper recomendables ambos.

2. Es la primera foto que edito siguiendo parte del flujo de trabajo que @danielvgphoto me enseñó hace ya unos meses en un one to one y que no había tenido la oportunidad de practicar aún. Contactar con el si queréis dar un salto en la edición porque es un gran profe. Súper recomendable también

Working on getting back out and into the groove of doing what I love to do, photographing wildlife and the natural world. Now more than anything, it is my version of stress therapy. When I am out in nature focusing on my subject, my mind is clear, my worries are silenced, and I am in the moment. You can’t ask for better than that.

I was paired with Raf Degeest rafartreides2009 for my Get Pushed Challenge. These three photos represent variations on the first photo I thought of making my official submission.

My challenge was to make an image of something out of nature: focus on a pretty / interesting detail and leave the rest as a bokeh background in this way you create a picturesque image (you might oversaturate the colors a bit) and, most of all, see those typical bokeh circles.

He wanted me to go outside of my comfort zone. My initial reaction was related to technique - not outside of my comfort zone at all. What was outside was the aesthetics. My initial reaction was I liked the version where the mountains were recognizable. I have since shifted my opinion some. I then changed both of them up a bit (only added one of the two)

About Carrie A. Bracker:

Carrie was born and raised in Nogales Arizona. She moved to Maine in 2004. She comes from a very creative family and a mother, who taught and encouraged her to play and explore with the many different mediums of art.

After a few years of experimenting with many different art forms, Carrie found mosaics in the fall of 2001 after watching a British gardening show, which featured a ceramic mosaic artist. Watching her make her mosaic so intrigued Carrie; she decided to give it a try but wanted to use glass as her medium. A six-week stain glass course taught Carrie how to cut glass and gave her the basics for mosaics. To get a better feel of what mosaics are all about, she took several courses on mosaic technique and studied with professionals across the country. She then found her own technique and style for her Mosaics.

Carrie founded Nature’s Mosaics in 2002. Her primary focus has been on nature, focusing on its simplicities yet mysterious complexities. Her eye for composition, vision for color and light and her attraction to shapes, textures and design enables her to create extraordinary images of ordinary and common subjects. Many of her pieces have its beginnings from a flea market or garage sale. She loves to work with old and used items and then breath new life into them. Another passion of Carries is to experiment with items gathered from nature, such as rocks or pebbles, wood, rusted metal, beach glass, sea shells or bottle caps. She also has added fused glass as a medium so she can make her own tiles for her mosaics.

Each mosaic Carrie makes is a one-of- a-kind mosaic. Some of the items may look similar but no two items are alike. Each mosaic is designed, fabricated and installed by Carrie for residential, commercial and public areas.

Examples of Carrie’s work at Maine Art Glass Studio in Lisbon Falls, Maine, Iron Bound in Camden Maine, Northport Landing in Northport Maine, Seaside Creations in Bailey Island and Heron Point Gallery in Portland Maine. Carrie lives in Auburn Maine with her biggest fan and dog, Harper.

Product of a Belgium-based investigation into casting processes. In the lost wax bronze casting process, a shell of the original artwork is produced. I investigated the creation of shells in nature, focusing on human shells, attitudes to distortion and mutation. This lead into the concept of isolated evolution.

Jill Reynolds is an installation artist whose work explores relationships between art, science, and nature, focusing on the intersections of the body, landscape, language, consciousness, and time. Her pieces are made predominantly of glass, but Reynolds also uses materials appropriate to her varied topics. These materials have included water, twigs, yeast, paper, breath, and hair. FAMILY MATTER is a portrait of the artist and her eleven siblings as interconnected molecules. Each glass molecule is made up of twelve complete sets of letters spelling out a name. The letters are made of small glass rods and larger blown glass tubes that are filled with a bloodlike red liquid. When joined together, the letters create a form similar to representations of molecules used in modern chemistry. In particular, they resemble the models of proteins formed as a result of DNA replication. A molecule is a three-dimensional map of relationships. Its shape determines its functions, such as the other molecules with which it can combine, the properties it will have as a compound, and the task it will perform in a cell. Letters of the alphabet are arbitrary symbols of sounds whose forms carry all the power associated with words. Both molecules and letters can be combined in an infinite variety of ways to create new meaning, whether as physical matter or as written text. In FAMILY MATTER the metaphors of molecules and letters are extended to human relationships. The names are specific to one particular family, but the constituent elements are letters of the alphabet that can be recombined to spell the name of anyone or anything in the world. In deciphering this molecular model made of glass letters, we can observe that there is meaning in form, that human relationships exist in three dimensions, and that there are meaningful “shapes” created by these relationships, such as families, communities, schools, organizations, and nations. Each person exists within a network of relationships, and each person is a molecule in the huge organism that is the world. The molecules consist of the following names: PaUL, ShAUN, ChRIS, tRACY, DAMIeN, REgInA, SHeILa, MarThA, MOLly, JILL, PEgGy, and SIOBHaN.
