The last light from the setting sun illuminating the patches of bluebells

Never really thought of rats as being cute, especially after some managed to get into the outhouse of my previous house and destroy my sun-loungers. However, after seeing this one and friends at Hardwick Park, I may be convinced otherwise, as long as they stay at Hardwick park, that is 😂.

Happy Friday, my friends, have a good one, we are off to a zoo with the new lens, oh and as suppose we better take Antonio as well. 😂😍

thanks my friend

This is my favourite from this mornings sunrise. No alteration in anyway was made to this image. The sky lit up a fiery red for 5-10 minutes. It was one of the most intense sunrises I have ever witnessed.

While flipping through my archive in search of a cheerful photo to ring in the weekend, I stumbled upon this mallard beauty queen. When I saw her at Planten un Blomen, a lovely park in central Hamburg, posing so nicely on a rock at a small pond, I knew I had to take her photo. Isn't she pretty? I could swear that she was smiling at me :)

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, dear Flickr friends :)

Fossil dunes are hardened sand dunes shaped uniquely by desert wind . Though it looks hard these are breakable sandstones which changes its shapes very slowly unlike normal sand dunes. Normal sand dunes moves and changes shapes frequently according to wind. ( Al watba desert, Abu Dhabi)

Nature did me a favor with these twin trees!

Autumnal peace along the Erewash canal

The tallest building in Finland framed by the trees I first thought of as obstructions, now have become part of the composition.

Näsinneula is the central point of the amusement park Särkänniemi in Tampere. It's 168 meters tall, but the highest point you can visit is at 134 meters.

Tampere is home for both the tallest building of Finland as well as the tallest hotel in Finland. The Hotel Torni is 88.5 meters tall and at the top floor (25th) there's a bar with a great view of central Tampere from all the four sides of the building.

Moselle and vineyards, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

These impressive falls can be seen from the overlook (where I took this photo) or from the end of the gorge trail at the bottom (www.flickr.com/photos/aleadam/22333698393/)

According to my wife, this photo has the shape of a heart. Go figure that...

The particulates in the air due to the Canadian wildfires is causing the sun to be seen in an almost filter effect, especially at sunrise and sunset.

Here it goes down between the trees, giving it natural framing on both sides.

Enjoy, and have a great week everyone!

She's back in full force! I took this about an hour or so ago... I have such a peaceful and calm feeling throughout my body. It has been a crazy week full of long hikes and stress at work... This was a great way to cap it off! One of the best shows I have witnessed!

Thst awesome sky at Ramshaw rocks a few weeks back...I never quite got the comp I wanted but I thought those two rocks framed the sky explosion very nicely.

Taken back in August.

I never tire of Kinney Lake haha. As a friend put it... "It's a photographers dream".

Kinney Lake. My favourite place on Earth...

Pine needles holding the moon with all their might.

Taken early one morning last week, I like the way these tufted ducks stand out against the mist, framed by the reflections.

Another impression from a lovely day at Mattiscombe beach, South Devon.

The tree outside my window has been attracting a lot of birds in the last few days since the blossom started to open. This morning I looked out and saw a group of Long Tailed Tits, but by the time I had grabbed my camera and lens they were gone. A few minutes later they were back but the light had faded and I struggled to get a good shot of the fast moving birds in low light before they were gone again. I was putting my camera away when I looked out again and saw some Goldfinches and the sun was shining. This time I managed to get a shot framed by the surrounding blossom as the Goldfinch took a rest between mouthfuls - you can see some blossom on the beak.

The natural wall of the Mönchsberg and the historical buildings along it in autumn. Photo taken from Elisabethkai on October 18th, 2018.

Captured with a Minolta Dynax 700si on AgfaPhoto APX 100 film, this black-and-white image presents the Reinhold-Maier-Tower in Boertlingen. The green-and-white striped structure, resembling a lighthouse, is a repurposed nearly 100-year-old pendulum tower of the state water supply, now serving as an observation tower. Standing tall against a textured sky, its bold pattern contrasts with the surrounding landscape. A bare tree frames the right side, adding a touch of quiet solitude, while the adjacent building grounds the scene in a sense of place. The image evokes both clarity and nostalgia, blending architectural precision with an atmospheric stillness.
