I cropped this from the background of another photo, because I found her expression and posture communicated so much.
The backstory is that I met the homeowner who grew flowers in abundance. Her ten-year-old granddaughter came up with the idea of selling the flowers and giving the money to a local food bank. That sure touched my heart and I thanked them for their kindness and hard work (plus contributed to the cause). Kudos to Nana and her granddaughter! HSS!

It's been almost a year since Grampa passed, and today Nana moved to an assisted living facility from the home they shared for 65 years, and where they raised a boisterous family, now dispersed. Has any house ever felt as empty as this one does tonight?

finaly long awaited Golden Week holiday has come!
today i went to yokohama to see the photo exhibition with my friends. needless to say the photos were wonderful, and the old building where the exhibition was held as well! each room has different taste because once they were used as studios by artists and the whole building has a retro flavor, so photogenic! but unfortunately, it's going to be pull down after the exhibition and it could be the last opportunity for the public to enter this building...we were lucky to visit there today. shoot, shoot shoot...!
