All the "spine" pieces are glued onto the gearbox and rubber band chamber.

The hole at the end of the neck is for a dowel to articulate the head, which was originally going to be able to move up and down just a bit.

Without the legs and the proper head, it makes me think of the Loch Ness monster a bit.

I don't know how that row of matches didn't light.

Here you can see the four layers of cardboard. I was careful to have the orientation of the corrugations all going in different directions for increased strength.

Which was totally unecessary, as usual.

The bearings are made of 1/2-inch dowel segments, so I didn't have to try to make them round, since they already were. They're tapered to fit within the bearing housing.

These are the first horns I made for the dragon. It made it look a bit like a bull, so I made it some different horns.

These take a lot of time to make, as the thin cardboard has to be held in place by hand while the glue dries, first onto one corrugated cardboard segment, and then onto the next.

These are ribs to fill out the neck, before cutting. It's nice when you can measure out a lot of things at once and cut them apart together.

The segment for the eyes was made out of cardboard for a Saltines box.
