ربي يخليلها جمالها وزود \\\ وما يحرمنا من هالنظرة لأجيال

مشاء الله (^^,)

I like to play in time to the rhythm of the rain beating on the roof. It's a chaotic metronome at times, but it's au naturale.

Just having some fun on a rainy day in the foothills.

...I seriously DO want to downsize my dolly wardrobe, but I go through it and then tell myself I cannot part with that, or that or that. UGH, I don't know what to do.

My studio, Dayton, Ohio, 2019. I wish everybody a far happier year in 2021.

DIORAMA OF MY STUDIO || DIORAMA VAN MIJN ATELIER GEMAAKT DOOR MAARTJE VAN BUUREN ALS SINTERKLAASSURPRISE

I enjoyed the shooting in "My Studio" in rainy day.

Wow, time flies when we are having fun!!

I have my favorite space in my room.

It's just small space beside the window...maybe 15 sq.ft??

I put white glass table there.

Now, my studio is open ;-P

Love how it turned out, it's very clean, organized and appealing to the eye. Hubby made the lil' racks to hold the clothes and measured them all, so they are all the same. Very happy!

She is a creative powerhouse. We collaborated a couple of times back in the day till she moved on to other pursuits.

Posting two portraits of Hillary from a few years back. One in colour and this one in B&W.

From a fun shoot with Ana in an abandoned factory.

A very quiet, gentle woman who seemed a bit distant but still a warmth filled the studio from her shy smiles. I wish I had not lost touch with her.

Ana was a young woman I stumbled upon randomly on IG. I thought she was cute and would be fun to work with so I asked her if she was interested in modelling. She was but it turns out (very sadly) that she was too young to model nude. She was a natural and I am very happy to have met and work with her.

Nadine is an artist herself and was excited to see what we might created together.

I've moved some things around, to make room for all the glass vases!, Here is the result, still have more stuff to do!

Hope you enjoy my magical place!

Hugs!

Magic and Joy!

Kate was one of my first real professional models I ever worked with. There were a couple of other models but non who had Kate's experience. It was kind of intimadating, scary booking her but once we met it was lovely. I learned a great deal from Kate and have only very fond memories of our session.

From a delightful morning and afternoon with Ana in an old factory converted to photo studios.

I forget now how I met Kristie, certainly on IG but through what connections? Matters not. She was a delight to get to know. Full of an unbridled sensuality that just oozed out of every pore of her being. I have so many pictures of Kristie that I've never shared. I think must attempt to correct that, at least a little.

I had a fun afternoon with Flos Lunae a few months ago creating many cool images. She was my first shoot of the year, a great start to a somewhat chaotic year.

Rae had been to my studio a couple of times and was keen to come back again. She asked if her friend could come along this time. I never mind when a model wants a friend along because, I have found, it often works out they are willing to be a part of the creative process too.

Blythe has filled my life for 4-1/2 years! I love the big-eyed doll and what she has done for me. Lately though, I have had a complete turn-off by the people in the hobby. So my down-sizing is slowly beginning. I have sold off probably 50 doll dresses in the past few weeks alone, and it's hard! We all have our addictions, and this one is a hard one for me. Between the clothes, my Sweet LY girls and toys, it's just time. We are also down-sizing our personal collections and furniture at home. I guess turning the big 50 is scaring me - that comes this Sunday...........

A friend with a wonderful sense of adventure.

N has come to my studio a few times and each time she brings someone else with her. This day it was Mike. What a lot of fun we had.

this is my Oasis...My studio....where I work and play and most the time play with my Blythe girls!

Rachel had a lot of fun playing around with this idea.

"There are dolls in my tea cup!".......

Colleen came to Toronto three or four times in 2018 and we met up each time for a photoshoot. Each sessoin was frenetic, chaotic, wild ... and fun! This image shows none of that crazy energy but rather, a small moment of calm.

My first (and sadly, only) shoot with Alyssa. At some point I asked if she had something she'd like to do and right away said how much she loves to read, she should have a book as a prop. We played with this idea for a while and created some very cool images. I also did a little post processing on a couple of them to create some collage effects which you can see if you peruse this album.

Chloe and I have known each other nearly 10 years now and have become good friends. She's not modelling any more but we have many lovely memories of our collaborations.

We met by chance through some mutual friends. I asked if she would be interested in working with me on some ideas I had hoped to explore.

...One of the many projects I'm working on today. I acquired about 5 antique dolly dressers that I am trying to fit into my studio....LOL, my studio is already full to the max, but what's 5 more lil' doll dressers??? So far I love it, but not sure where I'll put the others!!!!

It's always a huge huge process for me to get all my girls ready for Holiday Line Up photos. I just don't slap things onto my girls and be done with it. I take alot of time processing the holidays with blythe girls and what they may look special in, etc etc. Lining them all up for the photoshoot is very difficult, because they all don't fit into one photo, and you want to make sure you try to capture them at their best. :)

I have an ongoing project where I expose a roll of film in the studio with a model, rewind the film and re-expose it outdoors. In this case, in a forested ravine near my home.

I had a roll of Kodacolor X from my wife's aunt's estate. The film had an expiry date of Jan 1976 on it. It had not be stored well. The C-22 process this film required was discontinued in 1974.

I developed the film in Ilfosol3, 1:14, 20C for 10 minutes.

As you can see from these images, there had been a lot of light leaks along the edges of the roll, not surprising given it was not in the light proof wrapper for many years. The double exposure effect shows up in some of the frames better than in other frames. The images of J are often too faded but one or two frames on the roll are pretty clear. I think I should probably have over exposed the film by a stop or even two and things would have turned out a bit better.

Wrené is a local musician trying to break into the modelling scene too. I hope to see more of her in the future she was such a delightful woman to work with.

I love looking for these abstract details of the body.

From my first ever photoshoot with Dorrie. I forget now how it came up but she told me she played the violin so I asked her to pose with mine.

I wish I had worked with Roxanne more than just this once. She travels to Toronto from Montreal often enough that I could easily have done so. Oh well. Water under the bridge now, so to speak.
