I spent all day, on a laptop messing with MySQL, PHP and Apache. My database is populated and working, but Apache/PHP isn't. Well, it sort of is. The one page in my project that is a stand alone works... However, the files that have 'require_once()' aren't.

What I'm saying, in a round about way is, I'm an engineer and as such, I look like crap today ;-) Luckily, I saw the cool shadow my hand was making while I was putting the crappy pictures on the computer. So you get hand shadows instead :-)

This is a LOT cooler than I had originally thought. I duplicated the layer, desaturated the top one, and erased everything that wasn't my hand, so I could keep the nice golden color on the wall. What I didn't realize was how surreal my hand looks, since I focused on the shadow, and therefor, put my hand outside the DoF...

Lors de mon passage chez Zone Technologie en 2010, j'étais le seul programmeur de l'entreprise. J'ai été mandaté de créer un site Web que n'importe qui au sein de la compagnie pourrait mettre à jour au besoin sans faire appel à moi à chaque fois.

J'ai donc remplacé leur logiciel de gestion de contenu qui était inutilement lourd et compliqué pour le remplacer par Wordpress tout en gardant leur design.

J'ai aussi créé 2 sous-sites soit un pour leur produit vedette et un autre pour leur division Zone Métal.

What Drupal's spam module did to my database by Douglas Muth

The other day, I decided to install version 5.x-3.0-beta1 of Drupal's spam module on the site www.saveardmorecoalition.org/ to deal with the recent surge in spam we were experiencing.

End result? The spam module pretty much trashed my database, according to this graph. We went from about 40 queries a second go 15,000 queries a second, until I disabled the module. Completely unacceptable.
